Bottom line is it is almost impossible to erase emails from existence.

I had a contract engineer working for me one time and someone happened to notice he was surfing porn on his work PC.  I was obligated to report it to HR and they called in an IT investigator.  They pulled his hard drive and did a post-mortem on it. They said he had done a pretty good job of hiding his tracks by going in an deleting history and cookies and caches....but they were still able to track where he had gone and how much time he spent at the various site.  He was unceremoniously fired.  I actually made a case for keeping him on but they said 'not for a contract engineer'.  Had he been a company employee they might have worked with him and he might not be fired.

It cracks me up when I see people talking about FB and privacy.  Sorry but it post anything in a public domain you forfeit privacy....regardless of what privacy setting you use.

They were just emails about yoga and wedding planning so I'm not sure why she need a secure delete program. Probably the global alt-right conspiracy against her

I guess we must be fair and use the same racism thresholds for both parties.  It's been 5 months since this endorsement and there has been no disavowment, so Hillary is officially a racist.  Technically, even if she disavows she still has to be a racist by the Trump standard.

That last sentence is true, but you'll note that the (Republican) congressional investigation of this whole thing has *never* mentioned ANY other name involved in those emails.  Probably because it would create some uncomfortable questions.  The Secretary of State often communicates with Congress.  Given the average age of those reps / senators, and lack of technical ability -- it's very likely that Hillary wasn't the only one you could call "extremely careless".

Plus they know the justice department under Obama would go after them with a vengeance if anything like that came to light.

CNN is so funny.  They need to work harder to at least make it appear as though Clinton doesn't run their "news" organization:

Even if no actual voting/fraud occurred, the irony of this story is too precious to pass on:

"Florida prosecutors are reportedly investigating Trump campaign CEO's voter record

Steve Bannon, Donald Trump's new campaign CEO, is reportedly the subject of a voter registration investigation, NBC News reported Wednesday. Election officials in Miami-Dade County in Florida confirmed that a local state attorney's office requested Bannon's voter records last week, when reports surfaced that Bannon had registered to vote using an address to a now vacant Florida home that he never lived in...."

Fortunately Hillary set a precedent for things like this.  All he has to say is "I'll gladly release that information right after the election"

Trump already agreed to release his full and detailed medical records as long as Hillary agrees to the same.  She has not.
The taxes are just funny because nobody even cares.

Is Hillary still in the race?  I heard she dropped out?  Haven't seen her on TV at any rallies or anything.  According to her website, she has a speech planned today at the American legion club and then has the next 4 days off.  I don't blame her....it is a holiday weekend.  Then again, I'm not running for office.

The taxes are just funny because nobody even cares.

But going back to December of last year he tweeted the following "As a presidential candidate, I have instructed my long-time doctor to issue, within two weeks, a full medical report-it will show perfection". Guess when he gives an order, even his own people don't listen to him.

As for his tax records, I think a whole lot of people care. At least according to one poll, 74% of likely voters and 62% of Republicans think he needs to release his taxes. (Quinnipiac Poll). Even if that's an extremely liberal-biased poll, that's a far way away from nobody.

I truly believe that he's using his audit as a bullchit excuse to hide something. Personally, I think he's hiding the fact that he pays next to nothing in taxes. I don't mean that he pays a relatively low tax rate, he's boasted plenty of times about using every loop hole possible to pay as little as possible. If he's just paying a low rate, his followers wouldn't care. But if people found out that Trump pays less dollars than the average middle class family, I think his working man support would turn on him real quick. Like that old Cheers episode where Sam won a week's salary from Robin Colcord and got paid $1. People can appreciate a shrewd business man, but I don't think they'd support someone blatantly cheating the system while they watch 1/3 of their paycheck go to the government.

Or maybe he's just not nearly as wealthy as he says he is and his tax returns would show another one of his lies. Or maybe he's taking money from Russians. I heard he won't release his taxes because he regularly donates to NAMBLA. Of course, all this baseless speculation could be squashed if he just opened up his records.

I am glad you think that "nobody cares". Keep thinking that along with the idea that Trump is doing well in polls. It will serve you well I am sure.

"Poll: 62 percent of Republicans want Trump's tax returns

By Nick Gass
08/25/16 12:35 PM EDT

A majority of Republican voters likely to cast ballots in November want to see Donald Trump's tax returns, according to the results of the latest national Quinnipiac University survey, out Thursday.

Among all likely voters surveyed, 74 percent said the businessman should release his tax returns, while 21 percent said they do not think he should. More than six in 10 Republican voters, 62 percent to 31 percent, said they would like to see their party's nominee do so. The share of Republicans calling on Trump to release his returns is actually the lowest among all demographic and ideological groups, with at least two in three of all other groups expressing a desire to see them."

From 8/29:

"A new Monmouth University poll shows 62% of voters think it’s either very important or somewhat important to them that candidates release their returns; some 54%of Clinton supporters think it’s very important. Thirty-six percent of voters, however, say it’s not important."

Interesting that the 36% that don't care about match his weak favorability number again.

From that liberal rag Fortune:

"Among 1,931 registered voters polled, 45% said that not releasing a tax return made them view Trump less favorably. Furthermore, 37% of likely voters said it made them less likely to vote or him. Those numbers are essentially the same for independent voters, a constituency that Trump needs to win over, and one that an outsider candidacy could in theory do well in."

I tend to agree with the idea that he's not quite as rich as he portrays.  I think him paying zero taxes would play into his hand more than hurt it because he would simply say that the system is rigged for the rich and that's the way Obama and Hillary made it because he could legally do it while the working class are getting screwed with taxes, etc.

I don't think paying a low rate would hurt him. I think paying little to no taxes would cripple him. Remember 4 years ago when the Republicans were so upset about the 47% of this country that don't pay federal taxes? That anger was directed at people who don't have a pot to pizz in. How are they going to feel when one of those non-tax paying people is worth $10 billion?

Fortunately with the economy in full recovery there shouldn't be anyone out there that poor.  ;-)

If you asked me if I'd rather see his returns than not see them I'd definitely say yes but more out of curiosity.  I know one thing is for sure this election cycle though, the normal rules do not apply at all.  If Romney didn't release his returns in 2012 it would have been scandal all day long with wall to wall coverage on every media outlet.  With Trump it's maybe 97 on the list.  hah

From the first article you posted. "Oh, and Hillary Clinton was consoling her most trusted consigliere who has just left her dirtbag husband after he sexted a picture of his “private” part alongside his baby son, lying in bed."  Nope, no bias to be found in that journalist.

I'll give Trump credit, he went back to the hardline stance that carried him through the primaries. Ann Coulter must be breathing a sigh of relief. We'll have to wait and see what affect, positive or negative, it has on moderates. The GOP specifically identified losing the Hispanic vote as one of the key reasons Romney lost in 2012. Guess Trump's advisers didn't read that report.

I think Trump has made a calculated decision.  He decided he can gain enough USA! USA! USA! USA! voters to more than offset the Hispanics he will lose.

That Fox Op Ed posted above is going viral.....well, in my circles anyway.  :-

That's a good point.  Guess we won't know until the next round of polls come out.

I think the general rule of politics is being front page is generally good.  People are talking about you and not your opponent.

Trump held a press conference in Mexico for pete's sake!!  And Clinton hasn't held a press conference in 269 days.  Why is that?  What are they afraid of?  I heard this over and over yesterday.....even the most liberal commentators acknowledged that....and quickly tried to brush it off.  Maybe they could put one of those little hidden ear plugs in her ear so someone off-stage can prompt on how to answer questions.

A press conference in which he blatantly lied I might add... Unless the Pres of Mexico is a lair? I am sure they taped the convo...could get interesting.

Why should Hillary hold a press conference as long as she is in the lead? You never know what her internal polls are showing too - maybe even better than the published polls? Why go in front of a (likely) hostile media who's real goal is to stir the pot and keep the horserace close to keep ratings high?

As long as Trump is behind, especially in key battle-ground states, she will play it safe Id guess. She has a much bigger ad buy and a superior ground game in her back pocket too.

So basically if I parse what that article is saying it's exactly what everyone else is saying.  They agree that the US has the right to build a wall and it would be mutually beneficial and Mexico doesn't want to pay for it. /duh

What was the blatant lie, I must have missed it?

I fully support Clinton riding her lead.  The Romney strategy has a proven track record.  ;-)
