All 20 of us are registered... 10 of the Green Teamers are listed on the correct team, 9 of the Red Teamers.

I must say, in fairness to the one person not listed on the red team, that (s)he registered before I sent out the team names.

Hey all...

Any thoughts on where we could all go after the Jingle race? I don't know DC all that well. It's going to be a PITA since the race will be over probably by 9 for the Green team, 9:30 or so for the Red Team.

There's a place on the SW Waterfront called Cantina Marina but it doesn't open until 11:30. Never been there but it's close to the race site... I was also thinking somewhere in Old Town Alexandria... like Bugsy's, also not open until 11:30.

Anyone got any other thoughts?

Oooh... wait. Crystal City Sports Pub claims to be open at 8 AM everyday. I wonder when they start serving... that might be a good option for us.

And no dck, I'm not talking about Crystal City Restaurant.

Just gave them a call... they open at 8, and start serving at 8. It is less than 10 mins. from the race site.

It looks like we're going to Crystal City Sports Pub after the race.

I am personally guaranteeing a PR on my part.

Of course, I've never done a 10K before, so it's a safe guarantee.   

Yep, our team names are kind of boring... oh well, at least we can run! 

Congrats to the BT Green and Red Teams, which came in 10th and 11th out of 32 teams, respectively.

Hey everyone, Tommy used his own chip, so it didn't show in the team results.  His time was 49:02, which makes the Red team's official time 3:04:24, which means the Red team won the official competition, and the Green team won the BT overall team challenge.

Thanks Z!  Pics are really great - the group shot came out good!  I got cold looking at Shelly at first (she looks like she's freezing), but then the hot legs warmed me back up.

newleaf - 2007-12-09 9:15 PM Z, that picture of me and you after the race... is one of the weirdest pictures I've ever seen. Funny. I remember what I was thinking when that pic was taken... I was like "get this goddamn hot boiling shirt OFF!!!" And you look like someone who, well, just worked their keester off in a 10K, which is what you did.
