We won. Two more matches and we will win our division. No pressure, no pressure. Oh, if you didn't know, Atlanta is a crazed town. Lots of league play, very very important. Bag tags are a big deal here. You can add tennis to your goals if you want. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: They Who Shall Not be Named! HCS5QA - 2007-11-02 5:35 PM Question for the experts here. UPS just delivered my wet suit and I'm pretty excited to take it out and try it during my swim tonight. However Jchristoff just told me that wet suits and chlorine don't mix. I wanted to try it out long enough to make sure it fits and get a feel for it but I don't want to screw it up. I've been in the pool plenty of times during diving instruction but I never received that feedback. I know tri wet suits are made different and I don't want to screw it up. So someone point me in the right direction please. Diving instruction.... Navy..... OK. I see the connection. I haven't gone diving in a long time. (Recreational, not military.) Tri wetsuits are made differently? Actually, it makes sense. A diving wet suit is designed for warmth, not movement. That wouldn't work in a tri suit. ("Excuse me while I act like a bowling ball and roll down to the water -- cause there's no way I can run in this thing.... And during the swim, I'll be the one bobbing around like a cork.") |

On track for the run and may have to bump up the bike for the month if I keep this up. I had planned for the 30 miles to be a day trip the day after Thanksgiving on the Silver Comet trail with hubby. I'm excited about the run cause I walked 2 minutes and then ran 12 minutes for a whole mile of running. Then walked a minute, run 3 and did reps of that till I got the 2.5 miles in. My goal is to be able to run a 5K on New Years Eve. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...(Little Engine that Could). Kendra, That's awesome! Isn't this a big improvement over where you were a month ago? (That's thanks to Cat's Run Challenge, I bet!) Dee Yes, a month ago, before the October challenge, I was strictly a walker. I decided after my Sept sprint that to increase my times I would need to learn to run. Along came the Oct challenge and I started. I can walk a 14 minute miles, but now I can run a 12 minute mile. So if I can keep this up and run the full 5K I should be able to knock 6 minutes off of my race times on the run portion. |

Of course I must REALLY be in bad shape if my combined running and walking was a 15 min mile. Maybe I can give myself a break for my 28 in legs and the difference in altitude. I'm still trying to figure out how those of you with little ones find the time to work and train. I'm in a gym minimum 40 hours a week and still have a hard time finding the time If there's a secret trick will someone let me know. Well, gotta get to work...
