barqhead - 2008-02-08 7:16 AM I gained 1.6 pounds. Pffft.

Pfffft!  you'll get that right back off

I'm curious to see what the scale says when I get home - I feel like I may have lost a pound or two

I wouldn't worry about it.  I feel like the days I go up like that tend to be water weight and it comes off in a day or two.

Thanks. This week I had monthly issues. On the positive side, only two days of bad cravings. Usually I have like 5 days of wanting to eat everything in sight.

Do you get to leave early since you came in early?

Morning Pam, Jen, Beth. It's the morning crew. LOL

How is everyone this morning? I'm breathing better, so was thinking I might try a small core workout today.

Glad you are feeling better. It's funny how the first thing we think about is what kind of workout can I do with _______ (fill in the blank w/ current ailment/injury). Can you say addiction?

It may be FRIDAY, but tomorrow starts my week at work. Since it is my weekend, it will be six straight days in a row. I'll have a lot to catch up on since I've been awol here for basically the last week. I think I was in the branch a total of 8 hours this week. And it is budget crunch time. I should have brough tht ebooks home with me three when I came home. Then I could feel constructive with my time.

Oh stop whining Kendra, you love your job. I really do. LOL

Does anyone do scrapbooks? I have toyed with them a little and I'm going to a weekend scrap in two weeks, so yesterday I got busy and ordered about 400 prints of pictures that I have taken over the last two years. Do I really think I will get them all done in a weekend? OMG I must be nuts.

I'll send you some of mine if you get all yours done. I have gotten so slack since the beginning of 2005. Hmmm. Kind of coincides with when I got serious about triathlon. And we went to a digital camera.

Hopefully.  It depends on how things go, but I'm hoping to get out by 4:30 to beat afternoon traffic.

Yep...son is cool...we don't appreciate that sometimes...Cindy and I come from the school of 'better that they learn now, then when they're on their own.'  But, sometimes they complain because they see that a lot of their friends are spoonfed get whatever they want...

Missed my workout this morning...stayed and talked with my wife and watched yesterday's coverage of Romney's decision to 'suspend' his campaign...boo...(yes, I am an ultra-conservative Republican)...

Happy Friday Kristen and the Nibbs (that sounds like a great name for a band)...

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Kids today are spoonfed...no reason to sugar it. I'm sure Sugar Daddy and I will be "bad parents" 'cause we're not as "generous" the other parents in our neighborhood - but hopefully we do half as good a job as you & Cindy are doing with yours.

Yeah, digital cameras is what did me in. So easy to take pictures, forget to print them out, kind of like the commercials you see every now and then on TV advertising printers for photos. Anyway, since my daughter got me into this I have sorted 50 years worth of pictures into boxes and it blows me away. I need to take a year off of work and just get them together along with focusing on my TRI's. LOL

Sounds like you have a good parenting plan going. We raised ours that way too. It was hard sometimes, but the reward comes later when they thank you for raising them the way they did. I remember butting heads with our daughter over and over and when she was about 21 or so, she did come and thank us. It is a very special memory for us now, and watching her raise her own kids is fun.

Yep - digital camera killed my kids' scrapbooks too - but instead I just started blogging for them. (Yeah, it's not as cool as a scrapbook, but I update it every couple days and my family and my in-laws have constant "access" to my kids' lives...even though they're many states away.)

I think it would take me a year to update the Monkeys' books and that's only with 5 years of pictures to put in. I think 50 years of pix may take a little longer.

You are good to blog the pics for the far away relatives. Our son-in-law started that with the first one, but it did not last long, and now that they are 3000 miles away with three little ones I sure would love those pics, but I also know they are busy busy busy with a 4yr, 3yr & almost 2 month old.

Yeah - I'll admit, it's hard to find the time - what with all my BT time spoken for...LOL! No, really - I have an almost 6 and a just 3 year old...so I'd rather spend my home time playing with them instead of dinking around on the blog...but the family really digs it. (I stopped it this fall when I was in ATL and you'd think I took away their air and killed their dog for the ruckus.)
