Veteran 202 Tucson | Subject: RE: Team Swimming Rocks steve8 - 2008-02-12 7:59 PM Thanks. My husband took her to the Dr. -- looks like some 24 hour virus/flu/bug thing. I will swim! (I have a secret weapon up my sleeve -- we get 2 days off next week here in Tucson for a local institution called Rodeo. Guess where I'll be?)jacsuza - 2008-02-12 3:56 PM No swim today --child #1 had to be picked up from school sick.
Doh! I hope he/she is okay and you can go to the pool when you can |

Veteran 149 Quebec city | Subject: RE: Team Swimming Rocks Donto - 2008-02-13 12:21 PM Another 1300 in the books for me today, right on track with 45% completed so far. I'd like to share my Son's glory with you all. This past Sat was the FL state YMCA swim championships and my son did awesome. It was his 1st big meet and first time swimming 50yard distance in a meet. Since he was unseeded he went in the 1st or 2nd heats and was able gain a lot of confidence by winning his heats! Here he is getting set for the start of the IM. Overall for the 8 & under AG he was 7/23 for the 25 yd Backstroke, 11/24 for the 50 yd Free, 5/13 for the 50 yd Breast and 6/14 for the 100yd IM. He's given me extra motivation to get my arse to the pool! Nice! Congrats to your son on the results AND motivating his father! |

Veteran 224 Denver | Subject: RE: Team Swimming Rocks For anyone bored with their current swim routine, there's a "favorite" swim workout thread in Tri Talk (http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=103664&start=1). Some of the workouts are insane - look for the one about the HS swim team New Year's eve workout! - but there are plenty for more mortal swimmers. Keep swimming! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Team Swimming Rocks colesdad - 2008-02-13 7:10 AM Unfortunately no swimming for me yesterday or today. I had ice stormus interruptus yesterday. Was debating going out anyway, went to walk the dog at about 7:30 or so I think and I didn't actually touch a single one of my 4 steps. Ouch! Luckily nothing too serious other than general soreness today. Will be taking the day off from everything today though so I don't aggravate anything. I promise I'll swim on Thursday and have set aside Mon - Thurs as swim days next week. I may even reach my goal by then. Glad to hear that you are okay. The top step is the one to watch out for. |

Whew. Butt kicker, but it felt great. I'll get it in the spreadsheet when I go home for lunch. For some reason the public google spreadsheets are blocked at work. If they ever block bt.com I'm quitting (not really). Meeting today, so work will interfere with bt time. Bummer. Have a good one, everybody. Yeah, rocks do float or at least know how to move through water. |

Hey Donto, Get him a user name, and add him to our team, we need swimmers like him. Congrats and you have to be excitted about his swimming capability. Guess you won't have to pay for college on this one. Keep it up, and a scholarship may be on th eway. Happy training. |
