I DID IT!

The tri 'gods' smiled at me...A local guy got his QR Caleinte (all Dura-Ace) stolen from his porch.  It was recovered last week minus wheels, pedal, bottle cages.  Anyway, the insurance settled with the owner then brought bike into LBS were work.  They took PEANUTS for that bike, plus they replaced the wheels/pedals.  So for $400.00, I'm the proud owner of a 2006 QR Caliente that seems to fit me quite well.

Where the hell is Tamio?  She has this group, does IM lake placid, and poof, gone with out a traceWink

Hope everyones race season went well, I have two more tris plus a few run races left this year, including my first half marathon.

Next year ,.....  REV3 IM distance.  I'm crazy,  6 months into tri and already signed up for a full distance race.  oh well, if its 20 minutes away why not?

Adam-our group has dwindled as the season winds down.  Got my A race in 2 weeks and may do a sprint in October.  I have also had the itch to do a full IM next year but think I will do 1-2 HIM distance events along with alot of continued base building and a few sprint/olympic distance races.  Then, MAYBE, a full in 2011 if I can wait.  I read the race reports from the IM events and they are very motivating.  I think I could complete one next year but going to try to be patient-which goes against my nature.  Keep at it!

Hey guys!  Tri's season done for me too.  I have a 10K this month and then my first half marathon in November.  Tough to put all that time into training and then have to wait until next year!

Considering a HIM next year for the first time.  No way I have the time to train for a full right now...haven't even convinced my wife I have time to train for a half yet!  They just announced a new HIM in Syracuse, NY next September so that would be my target race if I decide to do it.

Have a great end of season/off season!

George
