ilucy2 - 2009-08-20 10:02 AM It has been 11 hours since last ice and Aleve treatment, and the hip feels better. Maybe some tenderness deep, but not flaming like the other day! Will do alittle spin on the bike to loosen things up and stretch agian. Followed by ice and Aleve. Sooo a few of you have had this issue...how long does it last and should I be able to do the race in 4 weeks?

Glad you are feeling better! No solid advice from me, but keep taking care of it and go easy. Fingers crossed for ya!

I got 45 minute in on the old bike last night and 2 hours on the run today.   Good stuff.

Nice, well done! Why not on the new steed?

barqhead - 2009-08-20 9:50 PM I got my ink No swimming for 2 weeks 55 mile bike ride is in jeopardy this weekend because of cycling short rub. I got the tat on my left hip. We shall see how it heals.

Iz purrrty, too!

Can you just cover it in gauze for the ride? Or pull your shorts up or down?

Ugh, feel like a totally lazy slug right now. No ride today, no run, and eating like cr@p. I slept HARD until my BFF came and woke me up after she got out of work, and I seriously didn't want to get up then. I'm very happy to be finally sleeping more hours, but it has me concerned as to WHY I'm all of a sudden sleeping so much.

Might go for a climb tomorrow/today, though, that'll be fun.

Then, this weekend is TIMBERMAN!!! YAY!!!! Get to meet lotsandlotsandlots of BTers and give lots and lots of COWBELL!

Ok...it is morning again.....Did not sleep last night, finally got up at 4 to mop the house. We have hard wood floors. The rest of the family is not so happy with my sleeplessness. Have a butt load of family coming it to town starting today. I would rather not, but they are. Think I am going to back off on the hip for the weekend maybe do a couple of short jogs next week. It was amazing how my workout last night affected it. Ok so maybe the lunges were not such a great idea. Hummm I think I will go dust now....

I LOVE it!!!!  So original!!!!!  Take it easy on it until it heals.  No reason to ruin something that is going to be on your body forever.  It is very pretty!

It was a function of time.  Old bike was on the compu-trainer and ready to go!

Thanks, guys! I did NOT do the 55 mile ride today. It feels a lot better today than yesterday. I will try to run tomorrow. I think it's healed enough for that. Have a great weekend

Alright here is some motivation for the last week!

If you have all 4 columns filled and at 100% you will be allowed to include over 100% of your initial goal.

The rules are simple - you must have 4 aspects chosen and you must be at 100% minimum.  This will help your team out for those who ran into obstacles on reaching their goals this month.

Good luck everyone!

I forgot to mention I will be capping the max at 125% so don't go killing yourself for the sake of the challenge but for the sake of crushing your own goals

Thanks, Bill! Not that I'll be taking advantage of that, but, uh, it's nice to know!
