I meant that it's been stored lying down all that time. Just, can you store it that long? You can store it for as long as you would like, but most likely it has lost its pop by now. Shelf life of a really expensive bottle of champange is about 3 years and that is with a wired cork and plastic stopper. One of the wine experts here in the office who owns an off site cellar said some bottles can be good for 20 years if stored in a dark tempered room?
