Talked to the family last night and the doctors are going to attempt the surgery on Monday because without it she would pass rapidly.  They don't know if she will make the surgery but it is a better option.

They are going to put a pig valve in her and hopefully that carries her for a while.

I feel bad for my sister because she is the only one local and has to deal with it all.  So if you could keep her in your thoughts and prayers she and I would appreciate it.  I get the 1600 mile excuse a lot of time but am contemplating obtaining a ticket home Sunday for a couple of days just in case.

Anyone have any airline connections

I am giving a research talk in Texas next month and have to create some of the data that I am going to present...so unfortunately that means a couple of 12 hour timepoints for my experiments which means ~13 hour days for me.

I still have a slight cough, but nothing compared to what it had been. I was able to sleep again last night.

This is my plan for the next week.

Today run 5-7ish, slow just to see how I feel

Sunday 9-11 miles
Tuesday 5-7
Wed 3-4
Thur 2ish
Fri get on a plane and head to AZ
Sat check out Tempe, pick up my race packet, relax
Sun Rock the Rock N Roll HM

I saw that we were the only big-boned Ghoulies as well Tom.  Nice to have an equal right?

I just blew $10 on a large that shrunk in the wash and will fit my son in a couple of years (even though he would wear it now to be cool like his dad )  I like a little breathing room in my clothes!

wgraves7582 - 2010-01-08 2:41 PM So you might remember our flex time ended 12/31 so this week was my first week back to 8:30-5:30.  I used to get here at 7:00 at the latest and then I would eat and have a snack at 10:30 or so.

It is quite weird to get used to eating my breakfast as late as I am now and then still eating at 10:30.  Today I was like what is going on??  Then it dawned on me - I have only been here for 1.5 hours so I should not be hungry.  Might have to adjust to 2 afternoon snacks say 2:00 and then 4:00.

Our bodies are strange creatures!

The doc said aqua jogging is useless because it does nothing for cardio so I am going to skip it if it comes to it.  I am going to do it a couple times a week until Feb 1st attempt to run again.

But Ann(e) you can always hold the towel for me
