Ghoulies, everytime I think I've hit rock bottom someone hands me a shovel.

Time for a new job Ann(e)!!!  I am assuming this is work related right?

It is work related.

I did not get one of the government jobs I interviewed in December. A friend of mine did though. I worked with him at my last job. I took care of his network. I wanted his job when he went to the gov't. They never even opened the position up. they gave it to someone who works there now who is NOT QUALIFIED AT ALL. My friend gave him an over view of the network, this guy was like a deer in headlights. He has no clue. No freakin' clue what to do. My friend is going to have to train him how to do everything. We both know he's going to mess it up. He knows nothing and he thinks he knows everything.

I could have slid right into that job and they never would have lost a beat. I wanted the job, and it's the place I wanted to work. Now I'm still stuck here where I don't want to be.

well I have seen this before and they usually crash and burn and then you get the job afterwards.  Not always fun or fair but there is still time.  Just don't offer any help

The guy who has the job and is going to the gov't side is only moving down the hall. They have already told him he will have to come help when this guy needs it. That's just BS. He will not work for that company any more, and it will no longer be his job. He should not have to go help. They should have put someone in the position that could do the job, not someone who isn't capable and will need help.

Well Ann(e) you are using logic and that is just wrong!

I know it is.

I used to fly by the seat of my pants and make snap impulse decisions.

Somewhere along the way I started thinking with logic and reason instead of emotion and bias.

I miss the old me.

Well just remember all things have a purpose.  Might not be something we always want to hear but it is true!

Bill I sure would like to know my purpose. In 37 years I still haven't figured it out.

Morning Ghoulies!!  Gorgeous day today!!  In a couple of hours I plan on doing about 18 miles on the bike  (still my old mtn bike, but someday....)    I will wait for the go-to-work and school buses to clear out some.

disturbed275 - 2010-03-05 4:08 AM So I am debating whether to do my long run today or tomorrow as scheduled.  Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy, windy, and barely above freezing.  Today the temp will be the same, a little less wind, and sunny.  I usually don't mind running in the rain, but combined with the cold I can't imagine it being fun.

So do I switch or suck it up?

SWITCH!!  Cool

Crud, Ann!  I am so sorry.  It is so tough to be in a rotten work environment.  Hang in there and maybe a new possibility will appear.  We'll send ghoulie vibes that way.

I am home,  I have caught up on the thread, mostly

Anne, happy BD to the big guy! Cute. Love the baby pic.
I LOVE my shirt!!<3

Ghoulies have been busy this week PR ing, wet suiting, bike shopping, cute boy shopping, cake eating and FF eating (YUM) running and cold weather biking. I have some serious training to catch up on. I spent a lot of time hanging with the co-workers and I drank to much wine last night. (don't I know I;m not 48 anymore? geesh).

I have pretty much stopped reading most BT threads. I got tired of the negativity. I like the positive energy and info on the challenge threads and of course GHOULIE.

I didn't know there was an Ironman song at all. I didn't know that McDs had green milkshakes, I don't know what size bike I have or what components are on it and I don't know what NTTAWWT stands for?

okay, got to unpack, do laundry and take more ibuprofin! silly me
