If you use a red italic font it means sarcasm --> Let me demonstrate by saying how manly I think Tom is.

See that was sarcasm back there. Love ya Tom

Also

pizza = pizza --> a yummy food item that is delicious with bacon and pepperoni toppings

pizza = sex --> which can also be quite yummy and you can decide if you prefer toppings or not

I do not know. I would think better safe than sorry, and any red font could be considered sarcastic, depending on the players.

Dang! Mentor groups are informative. I never knew that about the red italic font. It took me months and months to figure out the pizza.

I know when I first started that I caught on to pizza after a few threads but it took me a long while to figure out that flowers did not mean a dozen roses.  How either one of those words came to mean what it does here, I can not even begin to fathom.

Wish me luck tonight - my wife is working late so I am going to jog to the gym so I can do my swim workout.  I have never done this before and I am WAAAAY behind on my swim training for the year, so being tired when I enter the pool should yield some interesting results, one way or another.  At least she offered to pick me up on her way home!

Good luck.  That might be kind of fun. I have a short bike ride at 5:30, and then a swim class starting at 8:00 PM, so may have a similar experience.

I ran 4.12 miles yesterday on the treadmill!!!!  I have never enjoyed sweating so much in my life!  It is so wonderful to be able to run again-now I gotta get back into the swimming and biking, too!

Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone

ceilidh - 2010-04-13 8:28 AM Okay Ghoulie Mentees and Mentors
Lecture from Robin:

Go to the store ASAP. Purchase TWO BIG bottles of waterproof, sweatproof SPF 30 Sunscreen.
(Yes, TWO bottles. You will need them. Yes they are expensive. They beat the heck out of cancer)

When you get up in the morning, brush your teeth, wash your face and PUT ON SUN SCREEN. Make it a habit! Put it on your neck and ears, too!

After you work out. PUT ON SUNSCREEN.

It's impossible to find moisturizer without sunscreen these days.  I just want one for nighttime and days I know I'm not going out at all.  The SPF irritates my skin.

I am the same way. I use Gold bond for everything- even the face. no SPF. That is why I have to use the Neutrogena stuff, it is the only stuff that doesn't irritate my skin and turn me into a bubbly lobster.

Yea, we need a report on this one.  Hopefully the run to the pool isn't too long.  I tried swimming after a long run with an hour rest in between....once.

My porch light project is following the normal project progression.  Wife asks for them to be replaced -> procrastinate for years (5+ so kudos for me) -> finally give in -> house not built to code and new lights don't fit -> wife buys new lights -> too big (hmmm) -> I buy a potential light and some potential shims -> she is ok and we may be able to proceed.  If you don't own a house, count your blessings.

I have an addendum to the BT 101 syllabus, if I may. It's called invisible font. It's when you change the font color to grey on part of your post (okay it might be white now...it's been a while since I used the invisible font). It's kind of like saying something in your "oops-was-that-my-out-loud-voice" voice, without having to admit that you said it. Tom's a hottie. As in HAWT GOUHLIE BOY. *drool*. See? Like nothing ever  happened. Innocent

Oh--you have to move your cursor over the invisible area and highlight it in order to decode the invisible Gouhie font.

ETA: okay, so since they changed the background color ever so slightly a little while ago, it's a little harder to achieve. Go to the font color changer, click on "more colors", then type in #f0f0f0 in the box at the bottom. Voila!

The pool is just a hair over 3 miles away, but it is irrelevant because it was too cold to run in shorts last night and I didn't want to have to manage several sets of clothing and my swim stuff (I might be from Maine but I hate the cold!).  I just drove down there and did my swim.

I will give it a try in the future though, just so I can report back on whether my experience was as awful as yours.
