I'm bored. It is flooding near my house. I want to go home and take a nap.

How is everyone else doing today?

Oh and I'm getting my hairs cut this afternoon. Right now my hair is fairly long, does down to about the middle of my back. I don't want all the hair anymore. I'm going short.

We need before and after pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto on the pics.

If there's anywhere you can try a few different brands on, or even pick them up and feel them, I would do that first. I tried on 3 different brands, all around the same price point, and they are cut a bit different. Of course, I ended up getting compression socks instead that day, but still. For what it's worth, I liked the zoot the best, and I now own a pair of CWX capris, but I haven't tried them on yet. (dang arm...).

ceilidh - 2011-03-10 12:18 PM Hey Ann. What is the brand, make/ modle of your compression tights? I am going to suck down the price and get some.

I have several pairs of cw-x tights. I have an insulated pair, a capri pair, the revolution tights (these are expensive) and the stabilyx tights. I love them all!

This is what I am having done. Now I'm sure it looks 100x cuter on her than it will on me,  but I want low maintenance and short. http://www.romance-fire.com/pictures/Short%20Wedding%20Hair%20Styles%2007.jpg

Morning Ghoulies.

I was supposed to drive to Charlotte to observe some sampling. It is NOT gonna happen. Rain and high winds are not what I am looking forward to in driving.

Gonna try to catch up on some paperwork in the office today.

Did I mention I am going to a TI swim clinic this weekend? I am horrified to be seen in public in my current body form but I can't find a swimming burka! Oh well, hopefully I will not see these people again and I need to spend more time swimming.

TI clinic should be great!  And just stay focused on your swimming .. not the other people!

(the swim burka had me giggling!)

Hi everyone.  Once again I am back!  LOL    I will try to stay in touch better now.  Smile

( I hear Hanna puppy getting in trouble from DH out in the garage!  Oops?!)  She is 4 1/2 mos now.  I finally got a few pictures loaded to BT.  They are in my album.  I will try to post a link, but not sure how it will go.

Link to Dogs album

I jogged twice this week so far.  That is a record I think since we added the new puppy.  I do walk the dogs every day, so the upside is that I have not gained weight.  Yeah!

Hope all is well with everyone.  I will try to skim thru some of the recent posts.

the puppies are so cute.  I love that Hanna was smaller than Peanut initially, but has out grown Peanut by miles.   What a difference a couple of weeks make in a puppies life.

Huge differences!  Hanna is so big that it is hard to remember that she is still so young.  Then we get frustrated when she acts like a puppy!  Silly us!  They are a lot of fun, but kind of exhausting right now!

We have the same thing with having a Great Dane puppy. At 8 months he was 121.8 pounds. He turned 9 months yesterday and I'm constantly reminding people that he's still a puppy.

AFTERNOON GHOULIES.

not much time to respond, but i wanted to check in.

i got in a two fer today.  30 min spin and then a 750 yard swim.

i got a lung full of water doing a flip turn today.  came up coughing and spitting and hacking.

my lifeguard friends just LAUGHED LAUGHED LAUGHED at me.

do we have come in save you?

the new job ball is rolling again.  finally connected w the HR person.  we were playing a FIERCE game of phone tag.  IM IT!

drug test is scheduled for Tuesday.  then its about a week until they get the results.

i have an informal offer but as soon as the results get to the office they will send out their formal offer.

then training will start in earnest.  im thinking by the end of March.

my soon to supervisor said that it will take a week to complete (about 15 hours worth) and then i will get assigned my first clients.  im thinking by the beginning of Aprilish.

they are talking 18 hours right off the bat which is better than the 11 hours im getting now where im currently (THATS AFTER 6 MONTHS MIND YOU)

and then will go up from there.

25 HOURS TOTAL. that's full time, client contact hours.  that doesnt count the non-billable time i spend on cases which i get paid for too.

so to start it will be 8 hours doing essentially what im doing now...and then 10 hours of doing what they call family focus services.  which is a little more intensive therapy than what im doing now, but will utilize my skills/training/education in family systems and structural family therapy.

im super excited about family focus cuz its more in my area of expertise.

in the interim i can straddle both agencies, so i can maintain a paycheck, but there will definately come a point where i will have to cut bait and move on.

im not looking forward to THAT conversation.

though i did give my now supervisor a heads up that i needed full time and that if they couldnt provide that i would have to split my time between agencies or move on.

I WARNED YA.

good/qualified mobile therapist are hard to come by.  their loss.

the upside (and there are many) at least im not cutting bait into an abyss.

i realize how super duper fortunate i am to not only have a job but to have several to choose from.

im grateful.

change is hard, but change is good.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I got 7+ inches of hair cut off last night. It definitely feels different not having all of that hair hanging off of me, but I like it. The only picture I have is on my phone, and it is after I was out in the rain, so my hair is flat. I will see what I can do this weekend.

No need to dry my hair anymore. No walking around with a towel around my head when I get out of the shower. I'll save a ton too because I won't have to buy shampoo and conditioner as often.

All I have to do is put a little wax in my hand and muss up my hair. SWEET!
