How did the meeting turn out?
Hi ROBIN. thanks for asking. and KENDRA thanks for the timely ju ju.
the meeting went WAY better than i had anticipated.
there were two people at the meeting who i garnered were 'on the fence' about me staying w the organization. the third person in the room was my super helpful supervisor
i was able to say what the two fence sitters needed to hear while at the same advocating for myself. this way i felt like i wasnt azz kissing or brown nosing just to keep a job.
what i hadnt anticipated is how invested they were in me already. THIS IS A GOOD THING.
though i made a few concessions, my soon to be full time supervisor (the one i was having 'issues' with) made a few herself.
so we met somewheres in the middle.
the higher up in the room (the 2nd fence sitter) said that i was an EXTREMELY VALUABLE employee....who knew???
i will admit, its not my ideal/dream job but its good enough, for now.
theres LOTS of opportunities within the organization. im gonna put my head down, work hard, put my time in.
isnt that were everyone starts out??
i will get sufficient hours. the paycheck will be great. i can meet all my financial needs AND be able to put some money away.
BOTTOM LINE....i LOVE LOVE LOVE what i do. the hours work so that im still here for the boys with the minimal amount of childcare required. what job can afford you that freedom/flexibility???
that makes it OK.
its all good.

FANTASATIC!!! Most every job has it's downside. If the ups are better that the downs then you are ahead. You are way ahead cause you love it. I am only gonna say... you should have listened to Anne when she said not to worry about it. Easier said than done, I know.
