I have all this free time.  I had thoughts about a new hobby.  How about the bag pipes?

thebigb - 2012-01-31 11:08 AM Holy Shat...I bought flowers today.  What the hell is happening to me?

I've been trying to decide if I want to buy flowers for my date on Valentine’s Day. I have a date with her tonight so I think I am going to ask some questions to see if she is a flowers girl or not. I personally like giving flowers, it always makes me feel good but then again I like giving gifts in general to people because I like to see the reaction.

Is that free time as in "personal time"?

Oh Valentine's is just going to be redonkulous!  She made a comment about a Valentine's date last year and how the guy didn't even bother with flowers and she thought that was pathetic.  Therefore, I've decided it's going to be the most obscene, over the top, buy anything related to Valentine's and dump it all on her at dinner.  Thankfully she's got a brilliant enough sense of humor to find the funny in all that it will be.  Currently trying to locate a Valentine's sash and tiara, already have the overly, obnoxiously big, made in China teddy bear.   There'll be plenty of flowers too.  I may just go broke on this but the hilarity will be worth it.

I work from home. It's really a great situation.

Pros:

You can clip your fingernails at your desk
You can concentrate on doing what YOU consider a priority
You can control external interruptions
You can squeeze in an occasional personal task without being questioned on it.
The boss is miles away

Cons:

You don't end up getting dressed some days
You TAN at will
You feel isolated and have a very small circle of people to talk with
The boss is miles away
Success isn't celebrated; failure isn't seen; performance isn't noticed
email and phone can lead to unintentional miscommunication
You're less of a priority of those on your team since you can easily be ignored
You are the janitor, IT guy, admin, CEO, everything.

I go to the office for 1-2 weeks a year; haven't been their since May. My sales numbers are good; mistakes are few. I'm diligent about my hours (7-4 daily or more when needed).

I really like it, but it takes getting used to and a special diligence to be successful.

This girl is a low maintenance girl but is also a girly girl so even though she would never say she wanted something she would appreciate the thought so I just need to see what she likes.  We both haven’t been on a V date in a while so it will be cool that both of us will be nervous.

Do you know they have a 10 HOUR version?  OK, that would drive someone insane.  No need to waterboard someone, just play Nyan Kitty for 10 hours.
