Happy Valentines Day everyone!

What does everyone have on tap for the weekend?

I had a valentines run with Force tonight. 5.5 in the falling snow. He is a stronger runner than me so he's able to have a comfortable conversation while I'm probably unintelligible. Thanks for the push Force, feel free to take off any time when we run together!

Force was asking me a bit about my use of a coach last year. Is that something you guys are interested in hearing about? I may be going for my USAT certification in May, only catch is the training seminar is a full weekend two weeks before my wedding... Could be a bit busy!

I'm heading out of work early tomorrow for a weekend away with Lori and her four brothers and their wives. Should be fun, we rented a huge house in Lake Geneva. Going to bring the running stuff.

P.S. Don't forget about 100% class participation Monday! As far as I know, just Regimom racing this weekend, did I miss anything else? I've been so swamped at work the last two weeks I haven't had much BT time, so please forgive me for missing anything you posted in your blogs but not here! Things should be cooling down next week and I'll have more time to stalk you guys!

Weekend plan is to recover from all the traveling I've been doing.  A flight every day for 7 straight days.

But I also will run 4 miles with tripletmom01 tomorrow afternoon.

Then to start thinking about the job options.  I really like the opportunity in TX and it's a gurunteed offer.  But I'm really worried about selling out house.

I actually have a 5k planned for saturday morning.  Making myself do a few morning races to start getting used to it and be ready for that early morning 15k (I'm bad - I usually only sign up for afternoon and evening races).  This one is 9am and not too far from the house so good way to ease into the idea.

Otherwise, I have a 3 day weekend (love working for a bank).  Need to do a long run of 6 miles under my 15k plan and will make myself run outside.  Funny here I am in FL with ideal weather vs all you all running in snow and insane temperatures and I have to make myself do the outdoor runs instead of the treadmill.  I think I do the treadmill part because I can run at night, the impact thing - easier on body, and I know exactly how fast and far I'm going so I can pace myself better.  But then again I need to learn how to do that outside.  Also want to get the bike out on the road this weekend as it's been awhile.

Then there are all the house and yard projects I need/want to do.

Well have a great weekend everyone.

Have a great race!  Let us all know how you did!

Would be great having you in the lone star state. But, Houston is the armpit of TX. Very, very humid and it floods at least 2 or 3 times a year. They get huge amounts of rain at once. But that being said, I like Houston - especially if you are a fisherman. The coastal fishing is pretty good there. There is always something to do and a lot of options for the kids!

Good Luck!

Monday check-in.

A local sprint has been announced for 04 May. I'm going to go ahead and enter. I'm not certain I'll make the time cut-offs, but I'll be ok if need to leave the course. I mean, how do you know your limits, unless you push them, right?

Monday check in - very little sleep.  The 4 year old is now sick - very high temp and sore throat.  We just got back from the DR.  They are running a culture b/c there is a lot of strep throat going around.  I had another phone interview at 0730 this morning and another one due in 45 minutes.

Think I'm leaning towards the job in Houston.  It's a smaller company but the long term benefits (possibly taking it over in 5 or 6 years) is what is making it desireable.  I'm expecting an offer from the job in GA which is similar to the one I just left (which I wasn't thrilled with).  It may not pay as high as the other but it's a larger company with a few more benefits.

UGH!!!!

Hey Gang!  It's late, but I'm checking in!

Looking forward to hearing from Hilary and Linda about the weekend successes!

Dave keeps the momentum of the group moving forward strong today with his longest run ever!  Nice job Dave.

Teresa, good for you deciding to do the sprint in May!  I can't wait to cheer you on.  Have you committed to a training plan?  Let's talk about it!

Spanglers, dood, you are in demand!  Good for you pushing through this work transition with style.  Sounds like you are well on your way to landing on your feet.  You and I have had similar (lack of) workouts the last few days...

Eric, you got out and moved your feet!  Good stuff.  What are your thoughts on the Lonestar tri?  I say go for it, and enjoy the experience.

Jeff, you just keep kickin' azz.  Nice work dood.

I'm crazy busy at work again, so didn't have BT or workout time today.  Bummer.  Going to vote early tomorrow a.m. so I can get a full day in at the office before hitting the Computrainer tomorrow night.  A few peeps missed the Monday check in!  There are a few "excused absences" due to the mtb race, but please check in peeps!

Gotta go to bed now.

Nighters!
