Just logged my weekend training, with all of the gift opening and food shoveling I forgot to do it!!  Should be able to meet both of my goals by Thursday.  Good luck to all and I hope you had a great holiday!

Weird run today.  HR should not of pushed into Zone 3 those last three miles.  I also had a bizarre spike in HR during my warm up and don't reallt know why.  Only thing different was that my son was riding his new bike along side me and I was trying to teach him how to shift gears.  13 mile run tomorrow = 102 percent of running goal.

WU:
Mile 1: 8:14; HR 137; Zone 1
MS (M-Pace):
Mile 2: 7:18; HR 150; Zone 2
Mile 3: 7:17; HR 151; Zone 2
Mile 4: 7:18; HR 153; Zone 2
Mile 5: 7:10; HR 157; Zone 3
Mile 6: 7:11; HR 156; Zone 3
Mile 7: 7:15; HR 156; Zone 3
CD:
Mile 8: 8:12; HR 144; Zone 2

Hey gang,
Back in the swing of things on this end. I'm done with the challenge part and now just plugging along to do it. I'm about ready to head to the gym for the maiden voyage of my SwiMP3.
Woo.

Bah that was fun, started my 20 miler on Sunday already spent from the previous 25 miles this week... mile 1 was slowish and well, it did not get much better, but it got done.  I guess there is something to be said for running 20 miles on tired legs... but probably not on a public forum 8).

And an 8 mile run with 6:40 minute pace for 5x 800 repeats... was actually able to pretty much do it, no idea how.  And well then 2 hours of racquetball.  So 183 miles for the month so far, has been a long  month.

Alright team, things are definately coming down to the wire!  We need every last bit of effort you can manage.  Those impish little elves just dropped a person to bolster their numbers.  Come on, now is the time to strive for those goals!  Let's finish strong.

So. I don't see your name on the January participants list. Hm. Why is that? Aren't you addicted to the challenges yet? LOL

Alright team, I'm officially done, both with my goals and physically.  I had a 13 mile run and swam 3450 this afternoon.  That brings me to 122 run miles (101.7%) and 31,700 swim yards (103.7%).  Tomorrow is a long awaited rest day.

Things are really close with 1 day to go.  Three teams are within 2 percentage points.  Remember, there is no limit on individual goals.  The 105 percent limit is for your combined goals.  Every little bit you can add not only helps the team, but makes you stronger too.

LETS GO FROSTIES!

Nice swim total there 30k plust yards in 1 month is very impressive with those run miles also very solid.

Hr can be screwy at times, sometimes it means you are on the edge of a cold, other times it means you are carrying too much fatigue, other times your body is just off from where it usually is, hydration, biorythms or whatever.

Keep up the good work, the end is in sight! Push to the finish!

Nice way to finish!  Not only is it a nice feeling to accomplish your goals, but getting that little extra in there for the team always feels good.

Last run for the year 200 yard repeats maxed out at 15.9 mph 8) for not verry far, puts me at 192 miles for the month.  By far the most ever in one month.

If you haven't updated your totals, please make your way to the spreadsheet.  We made it over a 100 percent, but the vixens completed an astonishing 103 percent.  However, there is still a tight battle for second.

Hope to see you guys next month.  Thanks to all for putting forth the effort.  I hope you enjoyed the team inspiration of the challenge.
