owl_girl - 2008-04-03 10:54 AM You two are confusing me with the same avatar!!! I think it's Julie and then, darnit, it's the competition!!!

LOL - you and me both!

so, Tracy - did you see my description of my spinning class last night? thoughts?

So you stood a little bit, eh? I don't do anything in my classes that you can't do on a real bike. No one in their right mind would stand up on their bike for a whole hour! A cyclist is most efficient while seated. When you are seated, your body weight is supported by the saddle and your legs can go to the business of pedaling. When you stand, your legs have to pedal AND support your body weight. Don't get me wrong. Standing does have a time and a place. It just needs to be used appropriately. What kind of isolation drills did you do?

well, I didn't do them (the isolation drills kill my knees)- nor did I do all the standing -

I'm not really sure what kind of drills they are - she has the class stand, with a lot of resistance and move only their legs - then she has them 'bounce it out' in between drills

it just doesn't seem quite right to me

Kinda figured that was what you would say about the isolation drills. Those are very bad for your knees (as you have felt). You never do anything like this on a bike. Not sure what you mean by "bounce it out" but.....if you are bouncing in your saddle while pedaling a Spin bike, you don't have enough resistance.

She literally has them keep the resistance but bounce their bodies up and down - kind of exaggerating the bend in the knees - it's sort of hard to describe, because it's nothing you would EVER do on a bike

All I can say is I'm really glad I learned from someone who knew what they were doing.

Please don't take a class from her anymore!!!!!

It sounds like you are desperate for the attention of women you can't have! What's wrong with the pumpkin forum?

BTW, what's up with the women's footwear fetish and the female avatar? Is there something you need to tell us? Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I am glad people remark on the avatars, my computer never updates them....I guess I just need to remember to hit f5 the first of every month!

I updated my minutes on the spreadsheet. I had to change my goal to minutes, and decrease it. I got (unwelcome) news that my hubby will be traveling much more than expected this month, so it will be much more difficult to get any time in for training than I originally thought. On a bright note, I did have some minutes to log!!!

I'm off to St George for the next few days for a dance competition with my daughter. See you on Monday!

CHR15 TREE - 2008-04-04 11:15 AM Come to think of it Lava ain't too 'hot' when it sits in water too long... turns into an immobile lump of rock... Our mouldy pumpkin carcasses will run right over your solidified arses...

now that is not right! first of all that you are using Leslies cute little avatar and face to send such ugly messages! SHAME ON YOU MISTER! just down right shameful! and I guess you thought I would not be around to defend the lava-ly team of hotties...well WRONG! ok first of all pumpkins will not last long in the heat that we can transpire...I actually ran over a few today...did you not see the ones posted early today in this thread?!?!...I then decided to be nice and try and douse it out...but much to my demize the poor little pumpkin ended up all mildewed  and if you want to see what happens to a pumpkin in the water here you go!!!

...YIKES...call 911 - doesnt look as though he is doing very good....

so, now what do you have to say for yourself Chris...or would that be CHRISSY or CHRISTY!?!?! hehe  and does Leslie know that you are using her avatar? some people!!! only you, actually!!! LOL!

OBTW - how are those sexy legs? taken any better pics..like I suggested on the peep jouster thread? hehe

Okay... so I'm considering heisting her bike for the weekend.  So if her gear is at least participating in a workout, do y'all want to post it.

Gosh I feel so lost not participating in the challenge this month.  Okay, I'll be Amy when she's out of town.
