On an actual tri-related note, this interview with Tim DeBoom was excellent.

Okay.

Your next assignment, darling, sweet, dear Beth...

Go rent "Not Another Teen Movie" and enjoy all the mocking references to the teenie bopper flicks out there.

It's a line from there.

Okay...I'm taking the pooch out...then showering...then going to bed. I smell like a homeless person.

Hey Barb, that cheer was great. I'm interested in how the Nair for Men works out. I've got a whole lot of hair to get rid of.

Scot

Been thinkin the same thing.   I've got quite a bunch of it as well.   I did the sugar wax thing once.  Loved the result, wasn't terribly fun getting done though!

Yes SESH -- you're not the only "shaver" in here.  Legs here regualrly during the bike season.   Yea -- I do it cause it's cool.   Guess that's what I get for learning to swim with a collegiate champion swimmer....

NOW if I could get fast in the water......

I could see waxing the legs, but the rug I've got on my chest. Ouch! I would seriously be worried about blood loss. It would be like the waxing scene in the 40 Year Old Virgin.

Go find someone who can do sugaring.   Not as painful as wax.   That's what I had done to my chest and back.  Took about 45 minutes.  While having hair yanked out by the roots isn't exactly fun, the only place the pain was really bad was on the center of my sternum, and they did that part after they'd been working on my for about 45 minutes and my back , my gut, and half my chest were already done (pain tolerance was starting to wain!

Go for it.... I LOVE the result!

Morning schwimmy schwim.  Lots of "traffic" in the pool this morning.  There were two of us in our lane and one dude was standing on the deck, looking pitiful like he wanted in too.  Geez!  How many people can you fit in a phone booth?  Remember those days?

When the alarm went off at 5:AM, the first thoughts in my head were.... "If you see a painted sign on the side of the road..."

B-52's Love Shack.  Back in my wilder years.

"Everybodys movin, everybodys groovin..."

Hopefully that denotes a good day today!

"Folks lining up outside just to get down..."

Nothin' wild about the B-52s...

Funky little shack! Funk-y little shack!

Hop in my Chrysler,
it's as big as a whale
and it's about to set sail!
I got me a car, it seats about twenty
So c'mon and bring your jukebox money.

No morning workout.  1800 yd swim at lunch.

So tomorrow, I'll have this:

dash.jpg

High speed wireless internet access, so I can access BT internet from home and from 'hotspots' while on the road...ability to sync with Outlook and pick up e-mail should give me more access to BT help me to be more organized...

I just got basically the same thing a couple weeks ago!   AWSOME -- I'm also on T-Mobile....

We're working on it. I think he's going to test an area of his leg within the next day or two to make sure he doesn't get some funky rash. He has super sensitive skin. So we'll see!

I wonder if he'd let me take photos....hrrrrmmmmmmmmmm....

Also, so it doesn't get lost in all the post count padding intelligent discussion from last night, here is the BT interview with Tim DeBoom:

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/cms/article-detail.asp?articleid=1443

Our very own Barb snuck two questions in there and we learned she's a pre-race yacker.  Been there, done that, and it's really cool what Tim says about it.

My favorite part was this:

Q: What is your average HR during a training run versus a race?

A:  I don't use a Heart Monitor.  I know my body.

Yes!  Non HRM users are vindicated!!!

It's a very cool interview and what it really got through to me was that these pros go through the same things that beginners do.  They just do it a lot faster and longer.  But when it comes to the mind games this sport plays on you, we're all in the same boat.

ok, team

sorry, but no workout for me tonight - I didn't leave work until almost  8 pm - I won't bore you with the details, it's in my blog if you want to read later when you are having a hard time falling asleep......

Long story short - there is a reason my volume goals for the month are low - never fear, I will meet my goals - I always do

we don't want Sal to be on a losing team again, now do we?????

No please.  People won't know how to find me at races.  They'll be looking for someone that looks like my goofy avatars...
