Morning Nibbs.

I survived my first motorcycle class last night. Of course it was all classroom and not on the bikes yet. Tonight is also classroom, then Sat & Sun are on the bikes on the course.

You'll do great, Kendra - I bet the on-the-road portion is more fun than the classroom portion, anyway!

Mornin' Nibbs...

Jeni - Welcome Back!!!  Congrats on your tri's!!!

Jen - Have you already changed the stem out for a shorter one?  That may help, though I did go back and look at the pic, and the stem does looke short.  Here's a positive to think about, at least you can fit decetn size bottles on your frame, mine is so small, I can barely fit ONE 16 oz.    Can we say aero bottle?

Beth - Happy Trails!!!

Kristen - you panic????

Sal - Careful on the year relations, you're dating yourself

Cat - Thaw out

Kendra - So you'll be ready to lead the parade by the end of this class ?    Dont' Fall!!!

Everyone else (and Dee)  Have a great day.

I'm getting away from my cptr and phone to work on budgets now

Artemis - 2008-06-27 10:10 AM Not sure how to feel about the new bike right now.  It's a little too big for me to be super aero on it.  I have to be a little upright in order for the reach to be right.  Makes me kinda sad, but I don't know if I really should be or not.

Jen, have you removed all the spacers?  Another option--shorter stem, or even better a shorter stem that is level or even slanting down.  I have the same situation.  Although I'm fit right for moderate aero, I would need a shorter stem with a DOWNWARD angle to get into an agressive aero fit.

Good afternoon, Nibbs.

My kids had an awesome swim meet last night. They both have improved so much since the beginning of summer. DS told me he wants to quit karate and become a year round swimmer. My heart turned to mush

I did my first full pool workout since Moose. Yikes. I am slow. Oh well. That's what I get for being such a slacker recently and with no races on the horizon, who cares!

Have a great weekend everyone. Good luck at the Tavern Tri, VA Nibbs!!! Have on the "bike", Kendra.

Thanks for the tips, Sal and  Heather!

The spacers are there.  If I take all of them out, I end up a little too far forward to really be comfortable with this set of bars.  My plan is to ride with all of them for now and possibly remove about 2 or 3 and see how that feels. I did switch out the stem.  It's now an 80mm and is slightly up to make it a little closer to me.

I'm going to ride this for awhile and see how it goes.  I think the next step would be to swap out the bars for something I can adjust the pads and ends back (like the Profile T2) and go with those to get a more aggressive aero fit.

I think it will work.  I'm a little disappointed that it didn't work better.

That is so cute!!  I wish I had joined swim team when I was little.

I think you get to be a slacker for a little while right now.  You have a lot of training ahead of you.

I'm *so* jacked!

I'm going HOME in two weeks... spending some time in Des Moines with my parents and my kids... my kids haven't seen my folks in four years, I haven't seen 'em in a year and a half...

I've entered two 5Ks, too Wink One of 'em small enough (the Granger, IA race) that I might have a shot at podiuming, depending on who shows up.

I'm going to be whistling the "Iowa fight song" for the next two weeks. Cool

I scored a ticket on US Scare for $350... that's not bad at all.

Wahoo!!! That's great!!!!!

Okay it has been a really fun day at work today.

1. Maintenence guys actually showed up to do some work I've been asking for 3 months to have done.

2. HVAC guy was here to fix the air in the reading room. I had to take my little dollar store thermometer in there to show him the temperature. Why don't they just believe me whe I say there is no air.

3. Security cameras are being installed. They are drilling and drilling and drilling. Oh my head. And ther is brick dust everywhere from the drilling.

4. The fire alarm went off. Just try to get customers out of the building. What don't they understand about a fire alarm - it could mean death!!!

5. The alarm was false and was set off by the same smoke detector that has set off the alarm every month for the past four months. Crazy.

6. Alarm company told me they never received the fire alarm signal from us. When our HQ called they showed they did receive the signal. Does not leave me with a lot of faith with our alarm company. The fire truck never did show up at our building.

Please don't let anything else go wrong in the next 40 minutes. I will then be gone and in my class and won't be answering the phone.

Good score on the tickets...

Now about that Iowa fight song...

That's why we drink it here...
And when we're gone from here,
All our friends will be drinking all our beer."

Okay, three budgets down...about four or five to go....

gotta luv working for the gov't, I just copied last years... now I've really got to start working math to figure out inflation for the rest....ugh!!!

I hate  word problems...  If a bus cost $xxx and you have xx# of kids, how much must each kid pay per day to break even... oh, and I need the crystal ball to tell me how many kids I will have and how much the bus companies will be charging us  which will of course depend on the economy, fuel costs, and how much snow we have in the mtns....

I should have gone to school to predict futures....

Oh, cheesecake has a different meaning in my house than it does on Nibbs, so get your minds out of the gutter/bedroom.
