^^^^^^^

x2! on that Sam!

Steve and Susan made it safe and sound to Florida and are both very excited about the Race - Let's all send lots of positive thoughts, especially around 10 - 10:30 ET as that is when they should be hitting around mile 20

Have a great race Steve and Susan!  We are thinking about you and can't wait to hear all about it!

Yippee! Go Steve and Susan! All the Manatees are cheering for you! You'll have a great race and loads of fun!

Thanks so much...I can always expect cool graphics from the Manatees.  We will post our RR tomorrow if possible.

Update from Susan and Steve

I heard from our marathoners - they finished strong and are feeling great!

I don't want to steal any thunder - but I just wanted to let everyone know that they had a great race.

I want to share something wonderful about a member of our group and myself, too

BunnyB (Melissa) of the inspirational quotes thoughtfully bought me a Trader Joe's gift card for my birthday, since she knows I'm on a tight budget but need quality food.

I'm a total junk food junkie, but am trying to get my act together now that I'm in the run-up to my official plan for IMKY.

My boyfriend went shopping with me at TJ's and I bought SO MUCH GOOD FOOD with the gift card. I have enough really healthy yet DESIRABLE meat/veggies/grain for WEEKS and I'm so happy that a delightful Manatee helped me make this necessary change in my life.

Yay for Miss Bunny! Yay for me!

Ain't that the truth! Sing it, sister!

I am teaching Spinning(R) class tonight. I usually teach Thursdays but get conscripted into some Mondays as well. Glad we just had the playlist discussion--now I get to look back at the thread I linked for some good ideas!

Hi there Manatees!

I am bored at work today - things are moving soooooooo slow!

On the training front, I did 9 miles and change yesterday - which is a new longest run for me

Even better, I feel great today - no soreness.  The stretches you guys shared with me really helped me to get rid of my pain in the azz!

next week it's a ten miler and then the 1/2 Mary!

YOU are a ROCKSTAR, Bethie Love! Congratulations on your NINE PLUS MILER!!! You will do awesome in the half-mary.

I'm pretty bored at work today too ... very happy to have a job, but wish the details weren't so mundane at times.

I am really glad you got rid of that pain in the azz, too! Glad we were able to be of some help. Did you wind up getting a foamie or are you just doing stretches for now?

That is SO COOL, Beth! You are running all kinds of awesome these days -- you're going to have so much fun in your half mary.

I'm the opposite of bored today at work (only have a few minutes in between meetings right now). It's going to be a crazy week for me -- I should probably be grateful that my training is so low-volume at the moment because I won't have much time for it this week.

Same here. I went through the songs list and sometimes, it does help to know what others are listening too and train while listening to some other songs that I usually listen to. Although taste in music is very personal, there are some songs with some beats that just make me want to run faster/harder and I am in a constant search for more. I then arrange my playlist according to the way I want my run to be (slow start and then a faster finish) as I found it to be a great tool. My favorite spinning instructor took it the the next level and he hooked up with a musician and together they created 1 hours playlists targeting a HR based spin class. The beats of the songs were carefully selected and it is a great fun to participate in his classes. He even sells online CD/MP3 to people all over the world with his playlists. I am thinking to purchase one of his workout volumes for my trainer rides. I find music to be an important tool during my workouts. It is simple, but pretty effective, IMHO.

Yay Beth!!  Awesome 9+ run!  Awesome painless arse!  Woohoo!!!

Beth and Yanti...I wish I had your boredom problem.  I am like Erin.   Office hours are from 1030-1130 ...right.... started at 9:00AM and ended at 4:20 PM.  It was a revolving door of students, staff, and faculty.   wheeee..........................

Off to run outside....our rec center is currently like a club.  Waiting lines of 30 minutes for equipment.  YAY!  All the new year's resolutioner's and prepping for spring breaker's have finally hit with the beginning of the semester.  2 weeks.  2 weeks.   Or, get my arse up early and get'ur done!!

Hey everyone just wanted to check in for 1 minute to say THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for all of your thoughts and prayers.

We did AWESOME.  We stuck to our plan and it worked perfectly and part of that plan was to rely on the positive energy we were getting from our friends, family, our Tri Team and from BT.

We drove back from Fla. today and got home around 7:00 and my oldest son had pork tenderloin with wine sauce, mushroom risotto and Cesar salad...& vanilla/almond pound cake with raspberries and strawberries.   yummmm.

Thank you again and I will have my race report up tomorrow and Susan will also, sometime this week....I'm headed to BED.  G'Night all.

Manatees ROCK
