Can't wait to get back to running.  I miss the physical challenge and the mental aspect as well.  Getting lost in your thoughts and the satisfaction of completing the run.

Went to the chiropractor today.  Still having significant right hip and leg pain.  Now I think it may be sciatic nerve/piriformis issue since it is more of a shooting pain from right buttock down leg.  Initially went to ortho for evaluation after injury appeared.  Still not "sold" on chiropractic treatment but consider it to be helpful much like physical therapy. The electrical stimulation and adjustment felt good.  Hopefully it will help.  Anyone else gone to a chiropractor?  Good/bad or otherwise experience???

I use the chiropractor when the back of my neck starts to hurt a lot. A lot of muscles come together there. He does an adjustment and then does an electrical stimulation. It does help me. I need it more when I am doing longer workouts.

171. Down from 172...but I fluctuate 2-3lbs so no big deal either way.  I'm sure those 2,3,4.......9 chocolate chip cookies I ate last night didn't help.

So is everyone else enjoying the cold weather? Went for a short run this morning, -2, -19 wind chill.

Came back and did 20 minutes of kettlebell, pulled a muscle in my neck and now it hurts to turn my head.

It is CRAZY COLD outside this morning. My short run for today was walking my kids into school and then running back to the car.

Busy training day planned. Hoping to get a lot accomplished.

And my late Wednesday weigh in...holding steady at 225.

It's not too bad here today...41F.  I wish it was -2.  I can justify not biking outside if it were -2, but 41....there's no real good excuse for that.

I wanted to get a kettle ball, looks like fun.  You gotta keep those shoulders back man...good old scapular retraction will do you some good.

Not this weekend. Anything going on in Milwaukee the week of March 27th? Might come down for spring break.

I know, not very exciting. My oldest son (15) is going to be in New Orleans on a misson trip over spring break so didn't want to go anywhere far, just wanted a short trip.

Freezing here too. I think it's 12 degrees with a wind chill of 2 below or some ridiculous number.  My car door was frozen shut IN THE GARAGE this morning.

I would trade with you this morning, we had -6 with a windchill in the -20's.

My son is already telling us when he finishes school he is moving some place warmer, maybe Texas.

LOL!!!  I love the changing seasons, and have to say that Illinois does have some beautiful fall and spring weather, but this time of year I wonder why we live here.  We don't get enough snow for snowmobiling, cross country skiing or any of that other cool stuff Wisconsinites get to do.

I was stationed in Rantoul for 1 1/2 years, didn't get to do much cc skiing. Not much hills either. I remember my 5 mile loop, while I was running out I could look across the field and see where I would be running back. I think we had one hill and that was man made.

I'd like to hear about everyone's past or present all time FAVORITE running route! Give us something to think about while we're circling the indoor track or keeping up on the treadmill!

Lenny's "Rantoul 5 mi loop" currently the most depressing route,

Here is my favorite past running trail. When I was stationed in Stuttgart Germany, out the back gate of the base where miles of wooded trailes. One of the longer routes led to a lake that had a trail around the lake, the lake was split in two so depening on how far I wanted to go I could run one or both lakes. I was in my 20's so I don't think I appreciated just how beautiful it was there.

I made it out today!  9 degrees but sunny so that helped.  I have a 5K on Sunday so think warm thoughts

My favorite run...that is a hard one...I think it would be when we were staying in Keystone Colorado a couple of summers ago.  Even summer mornings can be cool so it was in the low 40's but the air is so clear and crisp!  I was running on a path that went through the trees by a river and  you could see the mountains all around. Awesome!

This is a great idea!

Hope this does not offend anyone, but I love to run in Oak Ridge Cemetery - a very old, beautiful cemetery where Abe Lincoln is buried.  The running club does a lot of training here because there are some tough hills.  It is very peaceful.  My dad is buried here and I like to cruise by where he is resting and say "hi".

Another favorite little shot is right through the little town where I am now living.  Up until October I lived in a rural area, which was pretty cool except sometimes a little scary running in the dark alone. At Christmas time there are holiday lights strung across the main road.

I like rural areas as well.  When I lived in Michigan I would always run past a very old cemetery.  It was creepy but cool to see the old headstones.
