Hey guys!  I haven't posted anything on here in forever, but I've been reading the forum.  Training has been going ok.  I finished the couch-to-sprint program back at the end of Feb and really felt like I could finish a sprint.  However, I felt like doing each sport 3x/week was burning me out and I felt like I was more prone to skipping workouts.  So, I started the 2x balanced program on here and I feel pretty good.  My runs have been pretty crappy lately though.  In most of my workouts I have felt chronically unfit, out of breath, etc.  Finally saw my doc yesterday and was diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma.  Tonight I'll swim after using the inhaler and see how it goes.  Hopefully no more wheezing!

You guys are all doing so awesome.  It's inspiring to read about your progress.  I have my first sprint triathlon ever on 4/25.  It's a pool swim where I work out, so I'm really excited.  The bike/run will be slow, but the goal is to finish!  My only chance to brag is this:  we had a 200-yd time trial in my swim clinic last weekend and I think I finished with the fastest time:  2:39!!!!  Keep up the good work everyone!!!

That is outstanding! Finding the right balance with training is always tough-better to find a plan you know you can stick with than something that you dont like or is unrealistic given your other responsibilities.   Good luck in the race!

Aww, sorry to hear about the EIA. I have a touch of that and it acts up under very humid conditions or sometimes if pollen count is high. I did find that the moist environment with swimming seemed to help, if that is any consolation.  Good luck on your upcoming tri! Be sure to come here and post about it!

Between lots of family stuff, volunteering at a local race and Easter, my workouts have gotten a bit off track.  It is the worst feeling, I blew my diet and everything this weekend. I did get a run in this morning but cut it a little short. Something didn't feel quite right and now I have a twinge in my right knee.  Gonna hit the pool tonight.

Hey guys....what's going on with our mentor group?  We continuing or opting out?  I am thinking of jumping in another one if we aren't going to continue!

Looks like BT is moving on to the Summer groups.  I have really enjoyed being a part of Lenny's group and appreciate all his work as a mentor. Hope everyone has a great upcoming season with lots of PRs.  Thanks for all of the advice and support everyone.
