I just saw that in another thread - must be the computer.  I don't do that dee

Yeah, when I posted that, the server did funny.  But with your example in front of me, I avoided resubmitting!  Thanks!  Laughing

disturbed275 - 2010-03-05 5:08 AMSo I am debating whether to do my long run today or tomorrow as scheduled.  Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy, windy, and barely above freezing.  Today the temp will be the same, a little less wind, and sunny.  I usually don't mind running in the rain, but combined with the cold I can't imagine it being fun.

So do I switch or suck it up?
I would run today. But that's the princess in me talkng. She doesn't like to be cold and wet at the same time.

The system won't let me reply to Neal's question about changing around his run day. Here's my response:I would run today. But that's the princess in me talking. She doesn't like to be cold and wet at the same time. Hope it worked this time!!ETA: good grief, multiple posts and I still didn't spell talking right!

Well, well, well. I've never done a quadruple post before. I think I just earned a nap from all that hard work! It would go well with the inches of new snow on the ground, plus the stuff that's still falling. Tell me again why I left 75* and sunny Phoenix? Ok, I have to get going--coffee is made, I have an appointment in an hour, shower time that needs to be squeezed in before I leave. Later Gouhls!

Im HERE! Just popping in...just finished a 10k run. I need to get some sort of timing device....because I always just approximate my time...even though I'm fairly certain I was faster than what I put..haha..

Hi Ghoulie's.  Busy day today at work.  I'm getting ready to meet with lawyers (ones I really like and like working with...smart) so won't be around this afternoon.

Tonight it is dinner with a fun group of women that I've trained with in one form or another over the last few years. We all met at a women's only outdoor bootcamp (bill you would have loved it...outside year round, local park, 5:30am, oh and all women).  I entered my first tri on a bet with 3 of them....we all finished.  Since then, a group of us have gone on to try half-marathons, hoping for our first full marathon this year, more sprints, Oly tri's etc.  It's been a fun journey.  Anyway, tonight is our occasional gathering at a local tavern.  Fun, food, laughter and certainly adult beverages.  I have to run 7 tomorrow though, so I'll behave reasonably well.

Ann, sorry about work.  Don't know what else to say other than I hope things turn around.  Sometimes we have to have bad jobs, bad bosses, whatever in order to appreciate the good ones. Hoping the good one is just around the corner for you!

Neil, run today.

Amy, welcome back.

Dee, have a nice bike ride.

Stacie, keep being you.

Robin, you are forever young.

Katie, stop by more often.

Melindy, good job on the wetsuit.

Tom, hope there is green beer in your future.

Bill, it is going to be great outside this weekend.

Ghoulie slap me if I missed anyone.

Hi Melindy. I am SURE you are WAY faster than you estimate. I was thinking of getting a garmin. but I decided to save money. I just use my cheapo timex heart monitor watch with timer. It is adequate for my needs

If it were me, I'd switch it up as long as I was feeling healthy. Cold, wind, or rain by themselves aren't bad but that's a trifecta of suck when you put them together. Since you just had a run yesterday maybe you should shorten it or slow it down slightly as a precaution.

Ghoulies, everytime I think I've hit rock bottom someone hands me a shovel.

Time for a new job Ann(e)!!!  I am assuming this is work related right?

It is work related.

I did not get one of the government jobs I interviewed in December. A friend of mine did though. I worked with him at my last job. I took care of his network. I wanted his job when he went to the gov't. They never even opened the position up. they gave it to someone who works there now who is NOT QUALIFIED AT ALL. My friend gave him an over view of the network, this guy was like a deer in headlights. He has no clue. No freakin' clue what to do. My friend is going to have to train him how to do everything. We both know he's going to mess it up. He knows nothing and he thinks he knows everything.

I could have slid right into that job and they never would have lost a beat. I wanted the job, and it's the place I wanted to work. Now I'm still stuck here where I don't want to be.

well I have seen this before and they usually crash and burn and then you get the job afterwards.  Not always fun or fair but there is still time.  Just don't offer any help

The guy who has the job and is going to the gov't side is only moving down the hall. They have already told him he will have to come help when this guy needs it. That's just BS. He will not work for that company any more, and it will no longer be his job. He should not have to go help. They should have put someone in the position that could do the job, not someone who isn't capable and will need help.

Well Ann(e) you are using logic and that is just wrong!

And disqualifying for most Government positions, by the way.
