Kido - 2010-07-26 3:54 PM for ME, it's vodka redbulls at the VIP tables...

Hottie McServer will fix me a drink (as is the custom at the VIP tables!) but it's ALWAYS heavy on the Vodka.  Funny thing is, you don't even notice after a couple!  Then before I know it.  I'm a mess...

Me it used to be double shots of tequila, when I was 25.  Now if I drink it's Single-malt Scotch.

Back when I still drank, my fave was tequila and tonic with ice, or g&t's.  Most people raise their eyebrows when you say tequila and tonic, but it's actually quite good.

A good tequila is good on it's own.  Problem is a) good tequila is EXPENSIVE and b) you can't get it at most bars, and if you do, you're paying WAY more than most people can justify/afford.  I do enjoy just straight tequila, so that might not be bad at all...

Good luck at the gym, Kate!  Hope it holds up for ya!

I, too, like a good tequila on its own.  The problem I have found is that a lot of places carry either the crap stuff or the really good/expensive ones.  There is a lot in between that are a good value and very good to drink.  Take for example Herradura Resposada.  Very popular in Mexico as a mid level smooth tequila but can still be hard to find in many places.

Or not enough.  A few more double shots and we'll all be dancing on the bar.   Cool

Kick drills were out and I bumped it a time or two but all in all it did ok.  Did some aqua jogging this AM and eveything was fine.  Gonna do some more swimming tonight then try and hit the weights without looking like too much of a goof with this shoe on.

Did you have a good evening?

Evening was fine.  Nothing special.  Swim/run, and some TV.  I can't even remember what I watched, so it couldn't have been all that important.  That is a pretty typical night for me these days.  Not much going on up in these parts right now.

Going to my cottage this weekend, though, so I am pretty excited about that!

That sounds like fun can I come?
Actually I am doing a course in kayaking draws and braces on Sat.  As long as I get to stay in the kayak this time things should go well.  Last class was kayak rescue class and my hips and thighs looked like I was a refugee from a cage match afterwards.

Draws are how you move the boat sideways and braces are how you brace to keep from going over.
When it gets cold up there (next month or so ) you should come down here and we'll go kayaking.

Hey, hey, hey...  low blow...  There's at LEAST 2 months till the snow comes    But I MAY be needing to get out of the cold this winter...  :P  I said I was going to do it last year, and that never materialized, so maybe, just maybe, I will actually do it this year.

And that all makes sense.  I go canoeing pretty often, so the 'draws' make sense to me.  There is definitely no way to prevent a canoe from flipping, though.  If you are going over, you're going over!

You know I miss snow and bracing cold weather.  I used to walk around outside in shirtsleaves in a snow storm, here if it gets a little chilly people are wearing coats and bundling up.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the snow, and being Canadian, of course I'm a hockey player, but sometimes you just want some respite.

People used to look at me funny when I played hockey when I was younger.  I was the guy that would show up about 1-1.5 hours early for a game, get 1/2 dressed, then go watch the game before me in a tank top.  People didn't get how I didn't get cold, but I guess I am, and always have been, more comfortable in the cold than I am in the warm.
