An hour of feeling like a complete idiot. This will pay off later, right? An hour of aquajogging is mind numbing. It HAS to pay off! |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge part 2 I have a tooth ache. I am going to take a pain pill and crash out for a bit. Listening to the rain on the tin roof is making me tired anyway. That, and I had a bowl of warm soup for lunch and I am ready for a nappy poo. Back in a bit. |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge part 2 I am sitting here trying to avoid going to sleep. I need to go shower, eat, start a load of laundry then do some Christmas shopping before I pick the kids up. The plan was to be leaving to do the shopping by now, but I sat down to ice the achile's and haven't moved since. Have a nice sleep, Robin. Enjoy the pilates, Dee. Hi Ann! Is Melindy still awake? |

I would like to be asleep right now. My Great Dane woke me up at 1:20. I thought he needed to go out, he just wanted to play. I did not want to play. Once I'm up I have trouble falling back asleep, so the next 4 hours were rough. Since you're already running late I guess I won't send you my shopping list. I don't need to get much more anyway, I'm going out with a friend to do some shopping on Thursday night. |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge part 2 So given my current 1/4 chance at the Big K, I have decided contingency plans are in order with regards to my 3rd year. I start clerkship 2 weeks after IMLP. We start with a fairly chill block called Link block with is just admin stuff like writing orders, etc. Then we get into our core clinical rotations. 3rd year we have: family med (urban and rural), psych, obs/gyne, surg and anaesthesia, medicine and peds. The are in the midst of drafting our tracks, so I decided to contact the dean in charge of that sooner rather than later to discuss what happens in October in the case of the Big K... He said "We are supportive of athletes, you will be required to complete all of the components of the rotation, the main problem that arises is in the case of exams or other assessments being missed so some planning will be necessary. The track schedule is almost finished and we should meet then" That was easier than I expected...I thought I was going to get a lot of resistance. Apparently not...Whew. I just need to not be in surg, medicine, obs/gyne for that first rotation.. Now I just have to train my a$$ off. NBD. Haha. Edited by mndymond 2010-11-30 1:20 PM |

It starts just after I eat and I can hardly keep my eyes open. It lasts an hour or more - maybe up to two hours. It is most noticeable at lunch but is there at earlier meals. It is not affected by what I eat (carbs, fats, protein, lots of food, a little food). Oddly, evening meals don't seem to have the same effect. If I am driving I have to be really careful I don't drop off if I eat anything. |

It sounds more like a time of day thing than eating...glucose will peak post prandial within the first 1-2 and then should drop off. But if you were diabetic and not getting sugar or something it would not only appear at lunch time... Have you been sleeping? How long has it been going on? Maybe an offset of hormones...That would be my first thought. Not sure |
