Good morning Ghoulies!

Crazy busy weekend for me, again. Did a ton of shopping on Saturday with my sister. I went way over the allotted amount I gave myself to spend.

I spent 4.5 hours yesterday out in the sun measuring and lining soccer fields. Those are just the highlights of the weekend.

Oh, I also had Milo to the vet's office. My 14 month old puppy weighs 151.8 pounds!

I have one of those. She is fearsome until you come into the house. Then she runs away.

WoW !!!

We went to an airshow on Saturday.  It was pretty good.  But it was really hot!!! 

Sunday I didn't accomplish much but a slow tired run.

Good morning Ghoulies.  I had a wonderful weekend, hope that everyone else did too.

I have never been to an airshow before.  Guess i need to add that to my bucket list of things to do.  They do sound like fun.

Wow, and he is still growing.  Glad you live in an area where the dogs can run around. 

RANT WARNING

I have a sister (call her sister #1)who is driving me crazy.  She is handling all of my Dad's finances and she wants to purchase his rental property, at a price that she has determined.  She will not share with us any of the account books on the property for the last couple of years, so we don't know what it might really be worth.  this is the same sister, who when she got control of our mothers finances the last few years of her life, managed to place it in a high risk fund which then lost about 60% of it's worth.  Yet, my sister and brother-in-law still seem to have lots of money of their own.  Interesting.

We all (us three sisters) need to get together to discuss his future.  He is 84 this year and has MS.  He has not made any plans for care and is totally opposed to going into a nursing home.  She sends me sporatic emails (once every 4-5 months) and her last email was demanding that we agree and back her when she takes her proposal to my father.  I asked if we could all meet and discuss all of this face to face.  She said she did not have time. 

Now, a couple of weeks ago, she sent an email saying she would be in NC from Sept 26-30.  That is a Monday - Friday.  Hello we both work all week.  I sent back that I could get up there on Friday evening and be there for the weekend.  I have not heard anything back from her, but my other sister (sister #2) who was visiting here yesterday said that my sister called her upset that I would not be able to agree to meet on the days that she is available and that there is no way she can stay for the weekend.  In fact, she has to leave Friday morning.  WTF - I know that she works M-F and does not work the weekends.  Why does she think she can only offer a M-F meeting opportunity when she knows we work too?

I am so sick of the whole situation.  I do my best to not get my sister #2 involved in my communication issues with sister #1.  In fact, I'm pissed that sister #1 called sister #2 to ask for MY Daughters phone number.  Why could she not call me?  Why could she not email me?  It is my daughter.

Family...aaaarrrrrgggggh!

Thanks Ann.  It can be so fustrating at times and it does not help that she is outside of Wash DC, so it makes it all that much harder to get things worked out. 

My dad has been wanting to get his three girls together for one last time.  I don't see why we can't work this through just to do that for him.  Who knows how much longer he is going to be around.

Meanwhile, he has decided that he is in love and wants to move to Oregon where "Ibby" lives and let her take care of him.  That would be so far away, but if it makes him happy, then what is there to lose, right?  Who knows how much longer he will be around.  He has survived all of his siblings and he was the one who was always in poor health.  Crazy world we live in.

Want me to head down there and smack talk some sense into her?

Would you please?  I'd love that.  I'm siccing all the Ghoulies on my Sister #1.

Ann is correct. Unbiased professional assesment is the only way to go. We will all be near there in October. I'll be happy to help put a hurt on Sister  #1.

Then we can take a road trip, visit Dee and get your Dad moved in with Ibbie.
