Pro 6191 | Subject: RE: TAN #160: Just farTAN' around as usual ... For anyone keeping score at home, Tucson is looking like more of a possibility. The bf might finally get a reasonable salary and job security. More good news: Blueseventy, Argon18, and Powerbar (shhh - that goes public tomorrow) are all on board as Rev3 sponsors. |

It's really a great situation. Pros: You can clip your fingernails at your desk You can concentrate on doing what YOU consider a priority You can control external interruptions You can squeeze in an occasional personal task without being questioned on it. The boss is miles away Cons: You don't end up getting dressed some days You TAN at will You feel isolated and have a very small circle of people to talk with The boss is miles away Success isn't celebrated; failure isn't seen; performance isn't noticed email and phone can lead to unintentional miscommunication You're less of a priority of those on your team since you can easily be ignored You are the janitor, IT guy, admin, CEO, everything. I go to the office for 1-2 weeks a year; haven't been their since May. My sales numbers are good; mistakes are few. I'm diligent about my hours (7-4 daily or more when needed). I really like it, but it takes getting used to and a special diligence to be successful.i coulda used jell-o yesterday. hey everybody...my call went well for this potential job oppty...it would be working from home, too! same capacity i was in at the job i was let go from... ooooh fingers crossed...this could be what i've always wanted to do! anyone here work from home? what would you say are the pros and cons? these are cons? ha
I too worked from home for quite a while. Presented its own set of challenges, but awesome overall. I did miss the interaction with people when I wasnt travelling much. Was kind of surprising to me because most of my coworkers were kind of annoying at the job I had previous to home job. Honestly I ended up giving it up for about $20k/year more than I was making and wish I wouldnt have. |

Moved here from Yuma when I worked from home a couple years ago. I could live anywhere in Az I wanted so I bought a 4200 sq ft foreclosure for dirt cheap. 3 weeks after I signed papers I was presented with an opportunity to work in CG with an old friend. Now I am a proud(well sort of) Casa Grande resident. I drive to the valley way too much but its a good life, so whatcha gonna do? |

But how creepy would it be if it started to play at 3am? Even creepier, what if it played and it wasn't a self playing piano... I always have a crazy imagination. But usually, it's dedicated to something a bit more "fiestier"! |

Well thank you for your hospitality kind sir. I've kinda been going to the valley for the better part of 25 years. Phx has kind of been my 2nd or 3rd hometown since high school. It's been interesting to see it change over the years. |

Seems like the biggest changes I have noticed were between 90-95 and then from about 99-02. and of course the last few years. About 5 year cycles it seems. Honestly anymore driving through town it seems like a desert LA. I could definitely do without the traffic, but I don't have to worry about it often during the week. |
