The HORROR!  Our toaster is a U of Michigan one that my husbands parents thought we would enjoy.  It burns a giant block M into your toast and makes only the crust edible.  I feel your pain....

Not sure what to be more proud of. My 3 yr old is finally potty trained (even at night!). But even more proud of what my 1 1/2 yr old did. He raided the recycling bin and came back with one magazine, which he proceeded to "read" cover to cover. The magazine? Victoria Secret.

Brought a tear to my eye.

The apple doesn't fall far.

Then again, he probably felt looking at it the same way I do when everyone in TAN starts talking about lunch.

Teaching your kids the finer points of life is so important!  Too many parents forget this IMO.

ecozenmama - 2012-07-11 12:10 PM Morning lovlies!  How are all the TANnerific people this morning?

Hey AJ how's the sexy boot look coming along?

Still boring...our A/C went out last night, so the kids are laying on the floor in chalk outline yoga pose.  Guess coloring my boot is too much work for them! Quitters!

Oh man wrong time of the year for no AC!!!!  It happened to me one summer on a Friday.  It was one of the most miserable weekends ever; there was just no escape.

No kidding, but at least it is raining today so the sun isn't beating down!  We have to refill our freeon, so we will have to wait till tomorrow morning.  The humidity is the problem!

Yep the humidity is most often the problem!

I am considering putting a tarp down and getting the kiddie pool and setting it up in front of the tv in the middle of the living room.  Although found out that DirectTV has now had to remove all Viacom channels, which are the only one's I watch.  Damages was supposed to start and we lost FX.  Comedy Central, etc.  A-holes.

I was wondering if that was going to happen - they said it was going to be "remote" chances it did.  Other than South Park (which you can get online) what good shows are gone?

Just on Comedy Central: Tonight Show, Colbert Report, and Tosh.O. Where else are you going to get the news from?

Aside from Comedy Central, the only other one I was looking forward to was Damages, and we lost AMC which of course was Mad Men, The Walking Dead, etc.  The only bright side is we lost Nickelodeon, so no more Spongebob! YAY!

Well, so far, no loss to me.  I don't watch anything on those channels save South Park and the occasional stand up specials they have on CC...  Not that I'm happy that they are gone.  I will be even MORE unhappy if we have to pay more to get them back.  They promissed us no rate increases when we signed up 4 months ago - and if I get one already?

Those and American Horror Story are the only cable shows I like, so I am beginning to think about shutting the tv off completely.  I end up taping them, so I can just watch them later online.

I only care about the Big Bang Theory, so I can catch that on CBS through the antenna!

I have already complained (sorry your yantiness) my way into a credit on our package till the channels are returned or we will cancel all together.  I will not pay more either.

You lasted that long?  I sat and stared at if for 10 mintutes in shock about  how anyone could find it funny.  The poor timing and laugh track...  ick.

However, I was scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of passtimes when I was out of work and watch a few more episodes.  I GUESS I can see the appeal to some.

Whoever is having a/c troubles, that sucks.
Last summer mine went out the week before I left for my Ironman. It was over 100 degrees for like 40 days straight. I had to stay at my parents for a few days, and when I dropped by to pick up some stuff it was something like 93 or 94 degrees in the house. Brutal.

Then a tree split and fell on my house a few days later.

That was an expensive summer.

I would have to stay at a hotel if the AC broke here.  There's a heatwave going on.  115+.  My wife's car's AC has trouble keeping up, especially if it's been sitting in the sun for a while.
