There may be an easier way, but I just use HTML. Here's a good tutorial: http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478131 And here's a quick summary: I disabled HTML for this, so you can see what I'm doing. To change color: <font color="red"> type your text here </font> If you dont want red, put whatever color you do want. (blue, green, etc.) The first part starts the command. (Color in this case.). The second part, with the backslash ends the command. If you want bold: <b> This text would be bold. </b> To underline text: <u> This would be underlined. </u> Hope that helps get you started! Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: November "You Choice" Challenge Team Wild Hippo's Hrm. Legs were a bit sore at the beginning of run yesterday and sore again today. I guess I will play it safe and take the day off, was only a short bike ride scheduled for today anyway. Tomorrow is my long bike day so I will just take tonight as a rest day, beat my legs with the marathon stick and see how things feel tomorrow. I haven't been able to maintain a 6 day workout schedule for long yet, oh well (best laid plans of mice and men). Oh btw, I saw a comercial for the new movie Baowulf! Sooo cool. He was the first triathlete I read about in high school and since I stole, er borrowed, derived my web name from him I will have to go see the movie. Yall have to go see it, hope it doesn't suck. Anyway I will check in with the legs tomorrow, hopefully the extra rest will make it all good. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: November "You Choice" Challenge Team Wild Hippo's Happy Saturday! Tomorrow is SUNDAY, the day when you report your achievements for the beginning of November! While posting your “progress report” on your team thread, feel free to brag about how great your workouts have been! This challenge is about achieving your goals -- so let's hear how you've done! And now, here’s a quick update on what all our teams have been up to…. The Moscateers – Team1 The youngsters are showing up their parents! Comet_the_dog ran with his daughter, Dani – and lost. Congratulations to Dani, who did a 5k in just over 38 minutes! And 1for1’s daughter, Gidgetintraining, is already at 41% of her running goal and 50% of her workout goal! Go kids! The Vigilantes – Team2 This team has a lot of “firsts” planned for this weekend! ScotinSeattle and Medusa_Ann are doing a 10k trail run this weekend! It’s their first 10k. And Fielding will be doing her very first race this weekend! Unfortunately, they had to cancel the swim portion, due to an oil spill. Good luck everyone! You’ll do great! Turkey Terrors – Team3 Running is the topic of the day for this team. Some of it is even being done barefoot! Gygyhawk had a fantastic response to her trainer’s comment that her metabolism was low. But you’ll have to stop by this team’s thread to read it! 5 For Fighting – Team5 After training hard, this team likes to kick back with a glass of wine. Or beer. Or maybe even both…. To make sure there is no confusion as to which beverage is preferred, this team posts pics of their favorite post-workout cocktail. Someday, they hope to start a wine mail-order business. They Who Shall Not Be Named (Twisnibbins) – Team6 This group posts so much that their team leader, LastCall2003 (Beth) must now post daily updates to summarize the discussion! Believe it or not, this group actually discussed running AND swimming this week! (Who knows, maybe cycling is next?) HCS5QA (Hector) will be running his first Half Marathon on Sunday! Run, Hector, run! To help inspire Hector, team leader Beth will be waving her pom poms! Wild Hippos – Team7 Several members of the Hippos have been benched due to illness. Owl_girl wants to know if puking time counts as “ab work.” (We now know more about her illness than we really wanted to!) Is Lyssa-gator slacking off? We’ll find out soon, depending upon whether she accepts Baowolf’s challenge of doing a 34 mile bike ride with him. Hard Core Tri Corps – Team8 Zipp1 ran an awesome 8k race today. Team Leader Cat received a penalty flag for inappropriate language, and had to state three positive things about herself. ACGRAY22 joined the team, becoming the 102nd person in the challenge. TriAya (Yanti) told us about her progress to date – including details of her 100+ pound weight loss, and posting some absolutely incredible pics of her HOT TRI BODY! If you want to be inspired, you need to stop by this team’s thread and see Yanti’s transformation into a “tri hottie”! Amazing! From BT News Headquarters, this has been your weekly Challenge update. Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: November "You Choice" Challenge Team Wild Hippo's Sigh I am tired... 34 miles biked, 3.5 miles run, 30 min weights. Oh well brings me to 50 %s across the board I think + / -. It was cold out there, threatened snow/rain a few times. I had to go into a 20 mph wind for like 20 miles.. but it took more than an hour.. (joke) my feet numbed up from the wind chill and I had to stop about once every 50-60 min to walk a bit and get some feeling back into them. Also, aero position is not ideal when your bladder is full, make mental notes as to where the bathrooms are on your tri route. Still dragging some from workouts earlier in the week even after a day off. Nothing big just general muscle soreness (no probs with any joints etc.). Its not the total lack of endurance that I ran into 2-3 weeks ago, I can still do what I should do for my work out... just warning signs that I am pushing the envelope again. I cut out my short bike ride this week and will probably have to do the same next week. We shall see, day off tomrrow. Actual so far /Goal Bike: 138 /225 Miles = 61 % Run: 34:5/65 Miles = 53 % Lifting: 2.5 hours/ 5 hours = 50 % Wt loss: -3/-4 = 75% I'll check back in after food. Edited by Baowolf 2007-11-10 5:42 PM |

Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: November "You Choice" Challenge Team Wild Hippo's I am 3rd son out of 5 boys and 1 addopted girl to make 6 total. Mom always wanted a daughter, so she cheated, well addopted one. There is a 5 year gap between me and the 4th son and another 5 years between him and the youngest brother, 6 months to adopted sister. Oh and from earlier the bike is a Felt S22 with aero bar setup. That wind killed me today, took a full 1 mph off my time and was brrr cold and made my legs all funky for the run. They started out slighlty numb from the cold and then got hot before settling in. There is some validity to the birthorder thiories of personality formation, but they only take into consideration likely environmental consequences and corelates of being in such and such a birth position. Things like temperment of all the children, the parents and other environmental and biological characteristics also enter into the calculation. So if the theorist says Child #1 will be outgoing, take charge, and be the trailblazer..... but he happens to be autistic, mentally retarded, have cp, or be overly introversive, the theories get bulldozed by more relavent characteristics of environmental factors than the weaker environmental correlates of birth order. If that is what you were thinking. Anyway if ya want more info on birth order or the bike send me a pm, email, however you do that, havent figured that out yet. |
