Are the shows the same as the books?  I don't read the books if I watch the shows and they are the same.  Can I get those on netflix?  I can't find it on TV and am interested to see an episode.

Oh Yeh .... Batman, The Dark Knight Rises is out!!!!

Recovery ride + run done.  Followed it up with a delicious kale, pineapple, strawberry, protein powder, chia seed, and almond milk smoothie.  It's surprising how filling smoothies can be!

I really need to focus on foam rolling as the training progresses.  I want to make it a habit.  I am self disciplined in so many areas of my life, and yet I neglect this aspect of my recovery.

Ok so we have a good 3 or 4 elite tri teams in the area.  Most are set up the same way: There is an A team where the standard is stupid fast like 4:30 HIM, a B team which is low 5s for a HIM, and a developmental team.  Some you have to use their coaching services the DOTS you don't.  Basically they're sponsored by the oldest tri specific store in the city and when I first started racing were the cream of the crop in town.  Since the triathlon boom in town they've kinda stuck to their ways and other teams have pulled even or passed them by IMO.  Well recently there has been a change in hierarchy and they are looking to pull in guys/girls that hover around the top ten in their AG locally and have plans to get better.  Their recruiting coordinator for lack of a better term is a guy I train with from time to time and he asked me to join.  Kinda cool, lots of perks, free race entries, etc.

Here's a pic of the kits:

Oh and y'all are the only people that really know and I'd like to keep it that way.  So nothing on FB about it.  There will probably be some hurt feelings with some of my friends that run another team in town.  Ugh.

What?  Are you trying to be funny???  Triathlon is serious stuff.

BTW can someone explain to me why Furbys are back??  They were lame the first go round.

That's cool, Scott.  I dig the dots, too,

When we were at my parents' for Thanksgiving, my mother pulled out my youngest sister's old Furby (from the 80s) and gave it to Madge.  Madge played with it a little and then tossed it aside.  She came into our room in the middle of the night a couple days after we got home.  She was having nightmares about Furby's scary eyes.  LOL

Ok so yesterday was suppose to be run and recovery ride. Recovery ride didn't happen. I went to bed early and took cold meds to kick whatever is trying to sneak up on me. I believe it is the crud that everyone else is dealing with! Nothing crazy yet I just was exhausted. I was suppose to swim test today but Doc said no way. If I pull a stitch I would be out even longer :/ I actually can't wait to get back in the water

Its never worth pushing it when you don't feel well.  Its so much better to take a day or two off and get better than to push through and end up sick (or dragging) for weeks.

We could do that as well.  Not sure how WTC would feel about public nudity.

Rest day for me.  Felt great to sleep in this morning!!  My quads were very sore last night for some reason.

Kelly - opinion on TrainerRoad?  I am under the assumption that this is a rough estimate of power; correct?  Worth taking a look at it or unnecessary?

Totally a rough estimate, but if its consitent (I don't know that it is) is can be used as a tool to measure progress.

I'll ask Shaun what he thinks as he's the mechanical geek.

First of all Tom-my Brad-y is beautiful.

Second, how many Super Bowl wins do the Texans have?  Heck, how many do the Patriots have since the Texans joined the NFL in 2002?

Now or when I see you in April???  LOL.  I'm just pushing buttons.  I generally keep my mouth shut because I'm good at jinxing things.

I'm a huge Pats fan and it should be a great game. I wish it wasn't Monday night. Makes getting up to train on Tuesday so difficult. Honestly if that Pats don't win the SB I hope Houston does. I like a lot of their players.

31-27 Patriots.

Unfortunately I had to dig my swim band out of a box this morning and dust it off.  20 x 50 all out with that thing.  Brutal.  There are times when I feel like I'm pulling so hard but my body is barely moving.  Then to make it all a little more fun, I did 10 x 100 pull buoy all out (with a tired, sore upper body).  I am really not fast at all with that pull buoy.  Makes me wonder if I rely on my legs too much when I swim.

I have to squeeze in a ride later today, but I'm not sure when that's going to happen.  Swim + bike is a rough combo to fit in the day.

10 of Madge's friends are coming over on Saturday for her 6th birthday.  Making cupcakes today, and then I have to go out and buy stuff so they can make friendship bracelets during the party (oh my...LOL).

I just entered into waking up at the 4:30 hour to get my training done. So just curious, what's the earliest you would get up to train?

I have gotten up @ 3 to run and still make 5:30 masters. But that was crazy! Usually up between 4:30-5.
