August East-West Run/Jog/Wog/Walk Challenge! (Page 18)

Can't vouch for what "normally" happens but TdF challenge in July was 100%

Boo! I was hoping to push it a few percent over for me this evening too!

Just got in my final 3 miles at the track. Some power sprints to keep the legs fresh for the big race this weekend!

COME ON EAST SIDERS!!! Looks like many of you are within one run range of 100%, get out there and kick some butt!

So. The good news is: I'm up to 72%!

The bad news is: the month is over!

I'm gonna go stalk Duane and Rhoda down and see if that's their final totals too ...

Got my last run in this afternoon for my 100%, August isn't over Eastside, you have until midnight so get out and start moving, it's not to late.

Maybe not, but you always are.

September Challenge is up!!! The spreadsheet is not pretty, either, but it'll do for now and only needs minor adjustments. (Link is to thread, which has spreadsheet link)

Dang, wish I knew this, definitely would've made sure to help out the teamates. Sorry gang!

Haha, I'm here...  I got in a run finally tonight but am a little short for the month.  I walked for a while after, checking out the damage along the river from Irene.  Unbeliveable how high the river mud is caked onto the trees that I ran by tonight.  Two nights ago that whole area was completely submerged.  Since technically walking counts too...  I included it.  But I'm still a little short.  Sorry Easties!

Didn't make it home in time for my run tonight.  What was supposed to be a trip to visit the roomie and see a movie turned into movie and dinner then James and I went to Costco and Sams.  But in some good news 2 very good friends are coming this weekend and I am so excited to see them!!

Got my last run in tonight so I made my goal.  Yeah!!! 

I must say that without this challenge, it would have been way too easy to say... oh I'll do it tomorrow (then something always comes up tomorrow!)  So thanks to both East and West for the challenge.  Though of course, it is GO WEST!!!

Irene must have really pettered out no long after that, my family around Rochester - Dansville say they got little to no rain out of Irene at all, well at least that is what my 90+ yr old grandmother has told us

this just reminded me, walking counts!! I walk my dogs every single day for at least half a mile, mostly more. While I would not normally count it in the log, I've walked at least 15 miles with them this month, so its going in the log!

Yeah, I don't think Irene reached too much farther to the west and Dansville is about 4 hours to the west from me.  Honestly, all during the day on Sunday I thought "Well, this isn't so bad".  I think a lot of problems around here came later when the rivers started rising and kept rising and rising and rising...  A lot of people thought the worst was over with.  I'm really lucky that I'm on high ground where I am and have buried electric wires.  We had no flooding and never even lost power.  And I am happy that my favororite brew pub and favorite BBQ joint, both flooded along the Hudson, are hoping to reopen today just in time for the weekend!  Woo hoo!!!
