Hey guys if anyone living around the Lawrence area has a nebulizer (breathing treatment machine) I was wondering if I could borrow it for my son. We switched vehicles at the last minute yesterday due to possible ran and we left his under the seat of my truck. He hasn't needed it in 2 months and wouldn't you know he began coughing once we got to Fayetville

OH and don't worry guys, Kansas' severe weather of the week hit Wichita last night so we shouldn't have anything to worry about Sunday (knock on wood)

Tornado sirens going off for over an hour, flash flooding, and hail. Whew!

Spoke with one of the race directors this morning, he said race is a GO - only thing that will delay is "excessive" lightening. Right now forecasters are expecting rain in the early AM, then a break for most of the race and rain again in mid-afternoon. Temp to be in low 80s.Good luck everyone!

I'll be the other one in the white cap.  You'll probably see me because I'm the one with poor sighting skills that will swim right by you before I realize I'm off course.

The time has come!  Good luck everyone!  Have fun, drink like a waterholic, pack your wetsuit, don't be late, don't worry about rain, the temps will be ideal, don't forget your nutritional items, helmet, running shoes, body glide, bottles, race belt and, most importantly, get some quality rest tonight because tomorrow night will be anything but.

It's been fun chatting with you all.  Would love to meet some of you during the event.

Awesome dinner with Chrissie...even won a door prize. She's so down to Earth and fuuny(and not just in the Bennie Hill kinda way...pretty funny). I'm definitely gonna go again next year, except I'll come more hungry. I had 2 huge plates of food and there was enough for everyone to have about 5 plates if they wanted. Met some other BTers as well. They don't always post, but they do keep up with all us Jabber Jaws. It was a pleasure to meet u ladies...Good Luck All!!!

Just wanted to say that you guys are all freaking ROCKSTARS! Those swim conditions were nasty, hopefully the cooler weather made for a good bike and run. Way to go you guys

Yes it was, I think I drank a gallon of water out there.  I had NO IDEA how choppy this lake could be.  I've done 7 tri's and never encounted chop like that.  When I entered the water I made a mistake and stepped in, hurting my middle toe I think it's broken.  It got cut also, don't look too good, maybe should see doc and get antibiotics.  Next time just jump in and swim over to swim start, duh.  Volunteers were fantastic, much appreciated.

Congrats to everyone, especially those that tackled the 70.3 distance for the first time.  Those were some challenging swimming conditions but at least the weather allowed us to get the entire race in.  See everyone next time!

Can I just say that was the most inaccurate weather forecast I've ever seen in my life?! All of the weather sites predicted strong thunderstorms from midnight on, all night, all morning, and all afternoon. Just goes to show you can't waste your energy on those. AT ALL!

I had a great time out there! Challenging swim, LOVELY bike ride, but the run got me (again). I had fun granting wishes with my magic wand and clicking off the miles throughout the day.

Congrats to everyone!

Whew! Glad u guys are saying it was a rough swim, meaning not all will be like that, but I survived. It was the longest I've ever swam and while I didn't stop stroking, I did take it slow because I didn't want to tire out for the rest of the race. I met a bunch of great people and learned a WHOLE bunch. I can swim faster next time and be a lot faster and still be ok. I liked the bike course, but again...took it slower than normal because of the run afterwards. The run actually wasn't too bad, but at like mile 10 my legs had enough and ended up walking a bit at the end. I know what I need to work on, but I am very pleased to have finished my first 70.3 and after a bad back injury. It was great meeting everyone and maybe I'll see you guys in Branson. I will definitely be back next year and I'm gonna come early with the kids and camp and relax. I'm on Facebook if anyone wants to add me...Sean Hedrick (Cabot, AR)...until next time guys

First of all congrats to everyone who raced and killed it yesterday!I was wondering if anyone knows how many slots for Vegas they gave to the 18-24 AG? I was 8th but I know they probably only took 1 or 2 because our AG is so small. And if anyone knows how far the slots rolled down (if any) I'd love to know that as well. Obviously I would have needed to be at the ceremony to accept but it's always nice to know for NEXT YEAR!!
