Anyone else notice how your pants feel funny when there is no hair on your legs?  2 weeks to go, taper on.

Does anyone else have the little countdown clock on their desktop?

And when do the numbers get assigned?  I remember seeing in previous years that people have them before registration?

If I recall correctly, bib numbers came out on June 13th last year... about a week before the race.

Anyone else find themselves checking for numbers, weather forecasts, and lake temps every day?  Gotta' love all the pre-race jitters.

Last year, the race was a little later in the month (like the 25th), and yes, I'm waiting (very impatiently) for bib numbers.

In past years the Bike SNB has been at the Higgins Point turn-around, about mile 60.  The Run SNB is just outside of T2, about miles 0.5, 2, 12 and 13 (you pass it 4 times and can pick up anytime).

Should be able to but there is a risk once it comes out of the box the first time.  The key is to put give it back to a volunteer and tell them that you want it back on your next lap.  If you just leave it on the side of the road it may not be there when you come by again.  I picked mine up twice in 2006.

I'm still trying to ignore it and pretend that I have a long way to go!

Is it normal to start panicking a couple weeks out and feeling woefully unprepared?  My wife and I are both racing, and we're both starting to flip out!

I'm trying to ignore it and just make it through work this week!  trying not to stress about all the things we can't control and not waste too much energy getting excited too early (this is what I keep repeating to myself to calm myself down...)

sent my bike with tri bike transport today, that was kind of a relief since it forced me to go through my packing list and get a bag together to go! Feeling tired still so trying to get caught up on sleep and enjoy taper but its hard not being stressed!!!!

And???  We're now inside of 12 days (tap...tap...tap... )  11 if you count today as done, and 10 if you don't count race day itself, so they should be out NOW!!

A week to go until I fly out and 1 day left at work!
Getting excited but also nervous that I haven't done enough training. I know that this a natural feeling, but definately have done less training than last years effort for Lanzarote.

I am bravely (or stupidly) putting up my race goal of cracking 12 hrs overall and a sub 4 hr marathon. Did 12:13' in Lanza with a 4:02 run/shuffle/walk/shuffle/walk/walk/shuffle/walk/run.

My bike goes bye bye tomorrow, too. In some ways I am so ready for this race to get here. I just hope my low back and hip can hold out for a couple more weeks!
