Threw down a 40 min bike exercise set at the gym over lunch...  Spinning cycles are great for single leg spins...

Good training. I haven't been on a spin cycle too many times..they are almost as boring as a treadmill.

I think the key is to have a pre determined "set" that you are working on - that and bring your own music...

Today I did 10' WU, 10xsets of at least 100 rpm spins with each leg (1' per leg per set), 1' recovery, and then a four high resistance out of the saddle efforts for 30" on and 30" off.  Finished up with a 5' cool down...  Actually was not boring...



I've found that good gym scenery helps as well. Sometimes I miss daily strength training at Gold's here in Vegas.

All I needed to do was show up, swim .25 miles, bike 8 and walk 3.3 miles and guaranteed to bring home hardware.

I went out fast on first 100, got caught in the wash during second 100, and drank 1/2 the lake rounding the curve to the beach

Hit people near me with my arms so my stroking was off.  Getting tagged in the legs and side so my kicking got off.

So in the 3rd 100, I was actually only able to muster a doggy paddle, I forgot how to swim, and I could not breath.

Drank more lake and held up my hand for the life guard, I was ready to quit with 75 to go to get out of the water.
