Evening EVIL Reapers!

I didn't get my run in as planned.  My Pilates teacher training ran from 7:45 am - 6 pm today. Not enough of a beak at lunch to get in 5 miles unless I morphed into a Kenyan.  SOoooo I will run tomorrow instead.  The rain should stop by then too.  Unlike some of this team I don't really like running in rain when it is in the 50s - 60s out.  Now snow is another story....LOVE running in that.

I don't mind running wogging in the rain when it's warm out. But warm, to me, is about 75-85 F.

By 55 F, I'd be mostly shivering.

Good morning Reapers!  Just got back from a 12 mile run.  My legs are little wobbly, but it felt good!  I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

BunnyB - 2009-10-04 9:06 AM I don't ever really have to worry about whether or not I like running in the rain.  I live in southern California, so that wet stuff only happens a few times per year.  Although, I have VERY vivid memories of sloshing through the Surf City race on Super Bowl Sunday a couple of years ago in a cold horizontal rain.  I think Yanti was doing the race that year as well.  It was miserable!  Amazingly enough, another one of my friends did that as her very first race ever, and she's actually still doing them.

I had major flashbacks to that race today! 3:45 hour hike ... in major wet mud, streams and HILLS ... really, what was I thinking?! And THEN ... at the end, it started raining ... so we did a 15-minute RUN back to the cars ...

Grooooaaaaan. I am so shot. And I feel soooooo good.

Ok, I'd have to say a successful half marathon yesterday, especially considering just over a week ago I was unable to run at all and thought I was shut down for the year. It was humid, but at least no rain and no t-storms. best part was that my gf ran it and since this was kind of a stretch distance for her, I wanted to be part of it. Sure enough, we ran together the entire race. Both of us pushing each other at times. Perfect scenario. The only bad stretch was after I took a Gu around mile 10, then hit a hill and my stomach started to get queasy. So a short walk, and then we were good again. Our last mile was the fastest of the day!

4 more weeks till NYC marathon...time will tell if it's in the cards or not. I'll aim for an 18miler this coming weekend, then a 20, then 15ish, and then it's race time. Not the optimal training plan, but it is what it is...

Keep running everyone!

Nice running everyone.  I am taking the weekend off but plan to run all week.  Long run tomorrow.  Not real long really, around 6 miles or so.  I don't know, no race to train for and I am a bit lost.

Hmmmm.  What month is it in?  You know I don't do heat......  Although moose antlers would be fun.  Bullwinkle is still one of my all time favorite cartoons.
