Another crazy day at work, they know I'm going on vacation and are trying to squeeze all they can out of me before I do, little do they know I mentally checked out last friday!  Looking forward to bootcamp tonight, in the spirit of Christmas I am doing a 12 days of Christmas workout, singing is mandatory!

Nice  - singing while working out - you must not be working on VO2 max...

Well the singing started out strong, but by the end it was more like gasping..and I think a few off color words were thrown at me.

LOL!

HELLO VIXENS!

looks like were all training hard and working towards our goals for this challenge.

DONT LET UP ON THE GAS NOW.  KEEP GOING!

as for me, i didnt really do anything towards my goals necessarily, but i had to two uber fine back to back sessions.

60 min spin STILL feeling the affects of that boot camp i did on Tuesday.  OI VEY.

and then i hit the pool for 800 yards.  my goal was to do a mile, but by the time i hit 700 yards i was starting to feel this VERY uncomfortable niggle in my shoulder.  so....i thought it best to stop.

good call!

so its onward and upward for me.

speedwork scheduled tomorrow, but i have to admit ive been fighting some stomach issues.  im not sure if its some mild flu or just something i ate,  ive been feeling a bit run down this week, but.....im gonna see tomorrow and then go from there.

ONWARD WE GO VIXENS!

yep, it was a little one, but did 15 minutes on the treadmill with a 6% incline and then a quick core session of 15 minutes.

Had a nice time at the party too:-)

Today is a freezing cold day here in Connecticut.  10 degrees out and windy.  I would like to run anyway but I don't have anything to cover my ears/nose.  So, Bryan politely asked me not to run.  Cause if he told me not to run, I'd do it anyway.   So, I guess I get to go shopping to find something to wear for these icky cold days.  I am hoping it warms up a few degrees and I can run this afternoon.  We shall see.  In the meantime, I am off to run a few holiday errands and then do some more baking.  My cookies sucked last night.  They tasted good but looked like crap.  Gonna try again today!

Erica I have faith in your cookie making abilities...

Well, I got to the gym early last night - an hour early - for basketball.  Looked at the wrong week on the schedule apparently.  So....I did a little 3.5 mile run and then played ball.  Probably the last workout of the week.   Office party today and busy day tomorrow.  We'll see.  I currently do not have internet at home, so this may be my last post until Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Erica what did you think would happen when trying to bake cookies and drink wine?

Very funny Andy.  I actually haven't had any wine in awhile (a few days = awhile, right?).

Got my run done.  Today's 15 degrees didn't feel as horrible as yesterday's 18 degrees.  Less wind today and I wore 2 pairs of gloves.  I was toasty warm.  Except for my face.  I will have to get me some ninja running gear soon.

Just bought a pair of running tights...  maybe I'll post up a pic with me in them - all I could think of when I was trying them on was that scene in Robin Hood - Men in Tights - "...are me seams straight?"  There was no song and dance number though

BTW  - maybe the problem was that you got the shakes from alcohol withdrawl

HI THERE VIXENS.

as your team captain it is my duty to announce that....

IF YOU DO EM.

POST EM.

believe me i have seen more than my share of challenges lost in the final week of competition!

NOW IS NOT TIME TO REST!

NOW IS TIME TO KICK INTO HIGH GEAR AND FINISH THE WEEK OUT STRONG....

i know, Christmas is the on the way.  so much to do.  so little time.  but how in the heck do expect to handle all that holiday stress if you dont take TIME OUT/TIME AWAY and de-stress by training.

so run, swim, bike, strength train all that stress away.

GO VIXENS GO!

Evening vixens!  I have been a little MIA.  Finally got my Dad's present bought, wrapped & mailed and arranged financing for my "new to me" car along with work and making stuff for a holiday party last night.  I am hoping to run tomorrow and Sunday with a swim on one of those days too.  They are predicting blizzard conditions here beginning Sat night so I will have to run a few errands too.  I love winter storms, I know it's crazy but I have always loved waking up and listening to see if the sounds are all muffled by a big snow fall and then running to check out the window. My daughter is home from college in northern Vermont so we can all be snuggled around the fire tomorrow night when the flakes start to fall.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

Well, I took a rest day and then never got a workout in yesterday before my husband's work xmas party. Then my 3 year old ended up throwing up ALL night long! I just got a short run and very short trainer ride in, but not what I really need to get done. I have some training to make up tomorrow! I just hope I don't get the stomach bug too... Or that no one else in the family gets the bug for xmas!

I wasn't able to get my run done before it got dark today so I ended up on the treadmill at the Y.  They had a Kona show on the TV which made my 6 miles not so bad.  Blizzard warnings are still up for here beginning later tonight and into tomorrow morning.  We are right on the coast so should get the full impact of the Noreaster coming up the coast.  I am actually excited to have a day inside baking and just enjoying family time.  If the plows get things cleared out I am hoping to get in my run as well.  We will see.  The Y is already delaying the opening until noon so a swim is looking iffy...  Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!!

Hey there Vixens - got in a nice little run this morning and the trainer is still waiting for me tonight...  Will get in a swim tomorrow.  I have to start analyzing how to get in the balance of my swims for the month...  I should be fine, but I will be pool-less for a few days over Christmas....

Hey Vixens, pulled something in my butt that is impeding my running atm, but should be good in a day or 2, had to tear our gym apart yesterday, so couldn't get a bike in, but set the drainer up in a new temporary location, so should be good to go for todays long ride.
