Is that what they're calling "it" these days... "pizza delivery"?

Its a COJ euphanuism...  keeps the thread from getting yanked due to content...

yeah, I know...I wrote something I thought was funny - apparently in invisible ink.  Beats me what happened.  (what I had said was something along the lines of "dine in" or "carry out".  sigh.

Howdy folks.  I have a 10K tomorrow.  Never raced that distance before.  Anyone else doing anything fun?  (The race is called "Run for the Bagel" - in conjunction with - you guessed - Bagelfest.)

My internet is pretty darn goofy at home - so no clue when I'll get things inputted and updated or whatever.  Trip to Pittsburgh next week for a conference, so I will like be "moving on down" deep into slackerville...

have a great one peeps!

billsorg - 2010-07-16 10:11 AM No workout today.  My knee feels a little sore after my long run yesterday.  I have the same issue as Paul... very busy weekend planned, so who knows when/if I'll be able to squeeze the workouts in.  I have a 2 1/2 hour long bike ride on the training plan for tomorrow, but we have dinner plans tonight and then a house full of people coming over tomorrow at 4pm.

Knee problems aren't fun. Give yourself enough time to recover so you don't make it worse. It stinks sitting around but better now then later.

yogachic - 2010-07-16 11:56 AM Huh.  I thought I already posted today, but I must have forgotten to hit "submit"!  Anyways, yoga class tonight, run & maybe a swim tomorrow, then my HIM on Sunday.  Hopefully I will slowly be working my way off the slacker list before Dee starts tasing & beheading people!  :-P

Good luck with your race. I'm sure you'll be excited to finally be done with your tapering before the race, not that recovery week is a whole lot different. It'll be fun to read your race report.

RoniS - 2010-07-16 1:10 PM Hi all! I'm back home (or at least the closest thing to it these days). And, I am busy working my way off the slacker list! I would really like to avoid the beheadings! ;) Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Look what I just ordered!

One used guillotine with a shiney new blade.

Guess I better get busy and get off that slacker list. What's the estimated delivery date so I know how long I have to catch up?

Got a stomach bug, so I'm cranky. Er, more so than usual, I mean. The taser batteries are being charged, and the new guillotine is being set up.

SET UP!?! I thought I had a few days to catch up! I think I'm going to be out of town for a couple of days.

Yeah... I saw that one at Target, but it looked a little wobbly and the blade wasn't razor sharp enough.  I'm going to hold out until I can afford the one from Torture 'R Us.

A dull blade is not a good thing. I don't want to end up like Nearly-headless Nick.

No problem! I bought a Blade Sharpener last week. And I'm heading off to Home Depot now to pick up lumber for the support beams. This thing is going to get a lot of use, after all. Wait.... there's a Torture 'R Us store near you? I really wish they'd open one in *my* neighborhood! edited due to the keyboard intentionally turning "lumber" into "lumbar." I don't need any lumbar support, thank you.
(I guess I'm a little slow and should have caught up reading before I started posting replies.)

At least a sharp blade means a quick death so no Nearly-headless Nick issues. I guess it could be worse. I'm still going to disappear for a couple of days.

Feeling like I need a little after work snack but didn't bring any change for the candy box. Sometimes I wish that convenience store wasn't so close.

Do you need to eat a dozen bagels halfway through? Although, the Krispy Kreme challenge only makes you run 2 miles, eat a dozen donuts, then run two more miles. I can't imagine doing THAT, much less doing it with a 10k.

Good luck tomorrow! Have fun!

I'll hack into the satellite system. You can run, but you can't hide. Actually, if you were RUNNING, you'd probably make it off the slacker list before you got to the next town.

Look closely at the picture. Notice the place where the head goes? I think the previous owner forgot to clean afterwards.
