Emmanem - 2010-12-21 11:03 PM I went shopping with the bf his bro and my roomie (bf's bro's gf).  Spent all day running around the mall and random stores and then came home just in time for dinner with a family friend whose bday was today so it's been a long day for me.  I did get an early christmas gift from James though... Despicable Me on DVD  best bf ever!!

Hey! That's what I got for my birthday last week.  Fun movie.

I think my Piglet is out to kill me as he gets me into shape again.

Today's circuit was the same one he does but a whole lot less weight.

It hurt. (in a good way)

Sooooo ready for presents.  Not just my presents but I'm so excited about the stemless wine glasses I got Mom that I think she's really gonna like and i got James his tripod for his camera and I really can't wait to give him that and the fleece rain boot liners i got my sister that she saw 2 days after i bought them and told me how much she wanted them.  Dad's tricky to buy for already knows his gifts so that's not as fun.  But then there's the gifts for me and I'm really really hoping I'm getting the heart rate monitor I wanted and the hot pink race number belt.  My family celebrates on Christmas Eve since we're Swedish so only 2 more days

Nope nothing for January 6th.  I know in Sweden everyone's off work until then but Christmas eve is our big celebration day.

Pic of the glasses... Clemson of course

jan 6th is epiphany but has also been secularized in the nordic regions inc. northern germany so that ... um ... well we put shoes out instead of stockings and they get filled with candy.

We don't do the shoe thing but all businesses are closed until after the 6th and everyone gets vacation time until then.  We do stuff before christmas.  Kids get a Santa to hang on the door.  It has a pouch in the front and the elves come bring little small gifts a couple times before Christmas eve.

Morning everyone!

Glad you guys are all excited about Christmas - me too!
In 2.5 hours time Im leaving work to go for a pedi with some friends, then staying in the city tonight ahead of our flight to Perth tomorrow morning where we are staying for the week. Seeing as we have no family with us this Christmas we are having a little holiday.
All our gifts have been sent and arrived with everyone although I'm sad I won't see them open them. We have a few small gifts for each other and my brother actually mailed some too (wonders will never cease!). My Mum has bought us an espresso machine which is boxed and at home but won't be a surprise when we open it - excellent gift though

So, my only hope is that our flights to Perth run on or close to time so that we can get groceries on Christmas eve, otherwise we will be living off Baileys, coffee and Sparkling Shiraz for Christmas day, the only edible things we have in our luggage (we are going self catering in Perth).

I realise this, poor planning, maybe next time we will hop over to Bali - in fact its definitely on my "within the next 2 years" list

I also realised as I typed baileys, coffee, shiraz that we would be just fine without food - coffee and alcohol, 2 of the basic food groups - we will survive!

I did Jorge's pre week 1 day 1 workout tonight and it went well so I will be doing more of his workouts now

I should say ouch, this years set of workouts looks particularly sadistic.

They're hard but they're soooo good.  I've got a challenge for myself tomorrow which is to do Jorge's week 3 workout 1 then continue until I get in 20 miles.  It will be the longest bike/trainer session ever for me.  Pretty excited to see how I do with it.

Swam today, my lats and triceps were cursing Rasoul for yesterday....Went out to run this evening and rolled my ankle on the same leg as my gastrocs injuyr.  It seemed to stir up the gastrocs so I turned in before I could do any damage.

Sorry to hear that.  Probably best to take it easy so you dont reinjure yourself... hope it's nothing major and you can run again soon.

Thanks, Emma.

I am sticking with compression and ice today.  No run or bike until sometime next week to let it rest.  I think the circuit workout I did on Wednesday may have irritated my legs.  Both legs are equally sore but rolling my ankle most definitely made the gastrocs feel like a charley horse with each step so I need to stay off it to keep from spending another 4 months in PT!!
