I wish there was a way to find out if someone is cheating at Words with Friends.

I give most people the benefit of the doubt, but when their vocabulary suddenly expands to include words there are about as abscure as you can find?  And these "magical" words suddenly start overlapping or hitting triple word scores every time?  I have my doubts.

I'm pretty good, but I can't compete with someone gettign 40-50 points on EVERY WORD when if I get over 25 on average I'm pretty happy.

A couple times I decided to counter by using a scrabble cheat on every word to maximize score and STILL lose to them.

It seems to happen after I beat them a couple times and suddenly they get WAY better.

Don't get mad. Get even. This is what I use when I know someone is cheating. The key isn't so much just finding huge words that land on triple word, but you also have to try to make it a suffix or prefix to another word. That's where you can crush people. I may or may not have pulled a 120 point word out with this.

Scrabulizer.com is the ultimate cheat site.  Tells you the highest possible score you can get.  Both in words and where to play them.  It figures out every possible combination of creating multiple words and using scoring blocks.

I have gotten WAY better.  I used to get my arse handed to me all the time, but you remember the odd words (QI, QAT, ZA, JO, JOE, etc).  So now I tend to do tons better and don't lose that often.  If anything, even against another good player, sort of swap victories and they are close.  Maybe the occasional blowout if someone gets super lucky for a game.  So I know people can get better.  But not overnight.

And I don't play no competition scrabble players!

abscure is pretty obscure Laughing

but you know what I meant!  not as "abscure" as "clapt".  That "t" was used to reach a triple word score.  Looked it up, it's an ancient form of "clapped"...  It's basically a dead word, but still recognized.

I stopped playing that game because I felt my friends were a cheatin. Not Cord or Tony....I beat them every time. I did discover "sext" is an allowed word.

That is good to know...  Mental note.

Cord used to clean my clock.  Playing QI and JO and getting 60 points by playing 1 letter and I would sting out 6 letter words and get 9...

But I handle that boy quite readily now!

The real test is to play with them in the same room

Don't get me wrong.  I will "test" out words by placing letters (and spelling a word I KNOW it won't accept) to see if WWF lets me place it.  Many times it's trial and error to get something.  But that's not cheating to me.  Using an outside program is.

My opponent could have done the same thing...

I "sort" of called her out on it.  Started to question words (like "how do you KNOW these words?").  I just got a "haha" in reply with no answer.

Guess what, the next few moves were something like air, cat, and youth.  Suddenly got dumb????  AND gave me an obvious triple word square to play on.

I have been sent on plenty of runs to get their kosher dills by the wife.  She loves them.  Never tried their sweets.

downloading it now to my android...

I'll find ya.  But it will take a while since I'm downloading on 3g instead of wifi like at home.

It's a greedy little piggy.  almost 17 mb...  Crazy though, I remember getting an "advanced" game that spanned across 6 1.44mb 3.5" disks.  Now you can download simple 17mb games to your phone!
