Baowolf - 2007-11-11 11:21 AM I have a 4 week taper and then a pre-race taper coming up this month though, so I ve to frontload everything. But thanks, I am pushing as hard as my body is allowing me to push so far. No injuries so all is good.

Sounds like you are doing it well then! No injuries means your body is able to handle it!

ok. enough slaking off. i've allowed myself to start my own little pity party about being burned out. but i'm done now. since i can't go out and run right now, and since i don't have the stationary bike here where i can get on it right now, i'm going to quit pouting and go lift weights a little bit. it's not part of my goal (nor will it be most likely) but it's something, and i have to get out of this funk.
thanks for the jumpstart steve

ok, so so-far for november i have:
65 out of 180 minutes biked 36%
18.3 miles out of 75 run-24%
and 4 pounds of 10 lost-40%
which is right around 33% total.

so i may have lost my momentum for the last few days, but i think my goals are still attainable

i'll work out again in the morning, then post my final thing for week one-if i don't get it in in time-then you can use this one as my week one thing

ok, i'm changing my stats from yesterday. i had time for a quickie this morning, so i just did 30 minutes of core stuff, and then a quick out and back, 2.5 miles. so that brings me to

65 minutes biking out of 180=36%
20.8 miles running out of 75=28%
4.5 lbs out of 10 lost =45%
for a total of 36.3%
hopefully i did that right,

Heya folks...wow all those high percentages already showing up....guess for the Americans that's good so you can slack with all the triptophan (sp?) in your system at the end of the month from the turkey overload.

As for me, I'm keeping up. Today's run portion was rough...only did the 4 minutes in 2 x 2 min intervals and my legs were mush. Can't figure out why. Going to try to get in a good stretching session today if I can find the time and maybe that will help.

Swimming was also a little slower on Friday but that was mostly thanks to having to share a lane with this incredible older lady (probably in her late 60s at least) who swam non-stop for about 60 minutes...wow! But being that I displace alot of water I tried to swim nice and smooth (aka a tad slower) when I was near her, so my time suffered a bit but I still got my 1100 yards in total.

So for November so far the numbers look like:

Walking/Running: 10.34 miles (34.5%)
Swimming: 1h 32m (30.7%)
Strength: 1h 14min (61.7%)

Keep it up Hippos!

-Kelley

Too bad it was a "quicky" otherwise it could be listed as HARD-CORE

November's totals:
Bike: 30m 07s - 7.06 Mi (goal 25)
Run: 1h 28m 32s - 9.4 Mi (goal 32)
Strength: 2h 10m (goal 8)

I gots to get moving...just can't seem to get the long runs and rides in to get caught up. The weather has been WONDERFUL but I haven't taken advantage of it. Have a long (for me) run scheduled for Tuesday and a good bike ride with friends on Wednesday.

Cat....I was able to go to another computer and get my stuff posted for this week. My computer is still on the fritz and it goes to the shop on Monday so I may be off the site for a day or two.

OK--- I'm still not back on my feet betwen sinus drainage and painful coughing fits.. so I did not run this weekend. I have just been kind of lazing about, and since I was horizontal anyway, I went ahead and did one of my core/abs workouts.

I think I'm right about at 25% (posting Week 1 below), but the week of Thanksgiving has me worried....

Aahhh. I did need the extra rest this weekend though. The kids all stayed in bed past 7 today--

Swims: 3/8 = 37.5%
Runs: 2/8 = 25%
Bike/Stationary: 1/4 = 25%
Core: 2/5 = 40%

Total workouts: 8/25 = 32%

Hey, I'm doing OK!
