ilucy2 - 2009-08-31 9:03 AM Did a huge torture session last night with the weights, putting me at 110%. I have 30 min of cycling today and I will be finished. Was hoping to be finished before the last day. The hip held up after the little run Saturday, get to do it again on Tue. I am trying to bring it back slow now that the hip is back in. I know I can run a 10k, so I figure if I do some small runs to remind my legs of what to do, that maybe I will be good to race.

Woohoo!  Great job!

Alrighty final day of competition.  You have until 12:00pm (EST) tomorrow - September 1st, 2009 to update your team spreadsheet.

Remember if you have selected 4 activities and are over 100% (and up to 110%) in all 4 activities, then you will be helping your teammates out that did not attain their selected goals for the month.

Have a great final day and winner's will be posted tomorrow afternoon at some point - work dependent of course!

Last day team!  Let's all get in one last workout to help each other out

I have my last core session on tap to put me at 100% for all 4 goals.  I might slip in an extra bike or swim as well.  I'm leaning towards the swim since my 20 mile run yesterday has left my legs feeling a little ouchy today.

Ok, Team. I have gotten all my run and bikes done now. I am still short one strength session. I will do an extra P90X ab workout...heck I need it anyway. And I am short 3 swims. I don't think I can get them in. I'm sorry but I had some issues come up this month that were totally unexpected. Family health thing. But I'll try to get one more swim in and that way I'll only be short 2. Yall' all did so great and are truly inspiring.

You guys rock!! I'm sorry to have let you down. I forgot about the tattoo and I think that is a viable excuse for not making my swim goal. I exceeded my cycling goal I was reaching for the stars with the 60 miles of running since I ran 6 in July Should have made that 50 then I at least would have been close. And I really let you down with my strength. I did 4 of 6 sessions. I could have gotten my butt to the gym 2 more times Sorry about that, folks. At least I feel like my training mojo has returned, so I count that as a huge success for this challenge!

You did a butt load of run miles...impressive. After you rest month in July, and a push in Aug, what is Sept going to bring. Got anything planned?

Hey everyone! Great month - I think we all set challenging goals, which was the whole point, right? Unfortunately, I'm not gonna make mine, either. Just couldn't get in gear with the logging. *sigh* Putting it down for September - gonna make it a habit again eventually! I can't believe I only ran five times, but then I see how much hiking/backpacking I did and I know I made (mostly) the right choices. Plus, this is the first solid month of biking I've had since last year, so I'm pretty happy with that!

Good luck in September!

What a great month, team!  Everyone put forth a solid effort.  As usual the challenge was, well, challenging.  If you didn't quite meet your goals, so what.  Hopefully it motivated you to get out the door a little more than usual.  You've been a great bunch.  I hope to see all of you around in the future!

Hey guys,

It has been a challenging month here in the Hale household. I did get my bike/run and strength done but sunk it on the swim but I did more than I would have if I was not on the team. Thanks for the inspires and you all did so great. Have a great Sept.

I don't have any races planned for September, but I will be training hard. I have a full century ride October 3, an 8K on October 10, and an Oly on October 17. Then I can put a fork in the 2009 race season cuz it will be done

Great job to everyone who met their goals and also to those who gave it a good effort!  I didn't quite  hit my goals.  Just too many things in the way this month.

Thanks team for the motivation!  Didn't quite hit my swim goal (82%, but 95% overall), but I SMASHED through my bike and run goals.  It's always good to be accountable.

Hope everyone has a terrific September.  One more race (September 12th) closes out the tri season for me.  Time to concentrate on marathon training!

Happy training all!

Hiya all.  My sincere apologies for falling off the face of the earth!  The past few weeks have been exceptionally hectic both at home, where we are finalizing the plans for our wedding, and at work, for reasons that are beyond me.  I, sadly, fell short of my goals but I did nearly reach the 85% mark, so I guess I should take some satisfaction in that.

Though I didn't add much, I did pop in from time to time to catch up on this thread and enjoyed seeing this team interact very much.  Best of luck to everyone with their races and training in the future!

I know we won, but I'm sorry I didn't do my part. Trying to get out of the house with three lilttle ones has been a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Wow, we won! That's AWESOME! I guess everyone set really challenging goals this time around - we don't usually have numbers that low.

Set that bar even higher for Sept!

Well done one and all.  Congrads to everyone who completed their goals.  Also, congrad to all who set high goals and pushed themselves.   Remember each and everyone one of us exceeded what the average person does exercise wise in the US!   By quite a margin!

Congrads!  You guys always kept me going.  A couple of times this month I wanted to quit but refocused to help out the team.

Woo Hoo!
