Should I hold him to it? And how do I gingerly tell him he's got a lot of stabilization work to do before he tackles any challenge so he doesn't blow another disc in his back? Another victim... |

Scott, you need to get out more. Seriously. When I'm super stressed (like I have been the past two weeks), it's 1. Get my workouts in Really puts the 'job' in perspective. I have co-workers who send me e-mails and leave voice mails at 8pm. How is that healthy? They've got a warped sense of priorities. It really is all about balance. When you take time for the 'real' stuff (family, friends, enjoying life), the stresses of work really tend to take a back seat and you begin to remember what's REALLY important. Now go out there and DO! Nothing worse than to sit alone at home. That's a depression spiral waiting to happen... Edited by sparco 2008-01-23 1:39 PM |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Nibbs XIII Scott, just try to remember that any change in life can cause you to feel this way. Even the good changes. Change has the ability to send us into a tailspin. Marriage, divorce, birth, death, new job, moving...all are major changes, and even the ones that are changes for the better can still upset the balance. Ride out this wave of change, don't give up on doing things you know you would normally enjoy. Allow yourself the bad feelings but don't let them drag you under. Please. The good feelings will come back when the new life becomes the normal life. Hang in there. Edited by givemashot 2008-01-23 2:00 PM |

My kids are usually rushing around in the morning getting ready for school, and it's not typically good quality time, so I opt to leave early to beat the traffic. I'll stop in at the gym on the way to work, or workout in the 'corporate' gym. If I miss a morning workout, then there's the incentive to get the lunchtime workout in if the schedule allows. I typically don't like to workout on the way home, cuz I'd rather spend that time with the fam, who are already home from school. You learn to become less of a night owl (which I usually am) when the alarm goes off at 4:30 to 5:30 in the morning! In fact, I get downright tired by the time 10pm rolls around... |
