Howdy Team - are there any east coasters out there?

I'm enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. Yesterday we set a new temp record of 74. Unfortunately I didn't get out to play in it.

Today I swam 2000m and work on some open turn drills. Tomorrow morning I'll run another 3.4 miles.

that is really warm for January!

what is the temp usually?

Usually about high of 47.

that's still pretty warm compared to what I'm used to

Hmm, I'd think that the weather would always be nice in Never Never Land!

I just love those Skinny Latte's from Starbucks. NOM!  The Cinnamon Dolce one is to die for.

PEPPERMINT MOCHAS!! NOM!!!!!!!  I drank those all winter............  But the skinnies are only 90 calories......  Lyssa I get my drinks extra hot too....I find they make them too cold!!!!  Why is that?

Spinning clipped in is really great!!!!!  I feel - only when I shut my eyes - that I'm outside....  I wish it would stop bloody raining here so I could get out on my actual factual bike.

Morning Beth. I saw a car today that had a Tinkerbell on the back it's tow.  Very cute. It was all sparkly too. I totally thought of you when I saw it.

Ok so I am actually on vacation and since yesterday was a 12 hour travel day from WA to TX I was not able to get a run in. I missed the day before because of my sick little boy. But today I was finally able to get my shoes on and go! Hurray!

Will try to make the most of the beautiful weather down here and having babysitters on hand (grandparents) to get some extra runs in toward my goal. Hope you all are doing well.
Cheers

Well, Scissors, I don't have any running to report but I did have an absolutely MAHvalous bike ride. 34 miles in the warm sunshine. I saw deer! One was grazing to my left so I slowed down cuz where there's one there's usually more. Sure enough, 4 others were in the grass to my right. Good little deer. They did not try to run me off the road. Hope everyone is having a terrific Thursday. Good to see ya posting again, Beth!

Bad enough hitting one w/ your car.....

Reminds me of the Boulder tri where someone hit a bear on the bike leg.  Not something you'd be expecting, generally.  She finished the race, btw.

Me too. Hit one with a Hyundai in Arizona once. It was a rental car. The CSR for Avis asked if we were taking the deer back home with us. Doesn't everyone fly a deer carcass back home with them?!

Yeah. I was shell-shocked at first since my January team was so quiet. But now I'm getting in the swing of things. Got any big plans tonight?
