mchally - 2009-12-16 9:43 PM The only thing left to finish on my resume is my 'objective'

I so dislike writing...

That's my least favorite part.  "To have a job and get paid" is not considered unacceptable, unfortunately.

Does a resume always need an objective? I dont think Ive ever had one on mine...

Just a good personal cover letter...

The job that I was applying for isn't one that really needs a cover letter...at the same time, none of my past job history directly correlated with the new job.

Plus...I hate writing.    A cover letter would take me days.

Well if you need help just ask! Thats what Nibbs are for

kns57 - 2009-12-17 12:28 AM Today is a day of party.  First Branch managers meeting with a brunch, then back to the branch for our holiday lunch.  Unfortunately with my ankle all banged up I can't work any of it off.

One day shouldnt really do any damage Kendra! Dont stress over it

Ha, it's the whole holiday season.  two parties last weekend, two this weekend, eating as I bake.  LOL
Oh, well, come January it's back to major dieting.

I must admit.. considering its a week til christmas.. Ive been really really good this year on the eating/drinking front...
Which is probably a good thing considering Im not really exercising

I just got a chocolate croissant from Whole Foods.  I don't think it's going to make it until breakfast tomorrow.

Well the dentist was a no go...I went to the University of Washington's clinic at the medical center. It turns out that they are looking for more serious issues for the students to work with.  But that reminded me...there is a dental program at my school and they do more general work.  I will set up an appointment there in January(when winter break is over).

I stopped by an Eddie Bauer and filled out an application while I was out.

ooh, I took a magic bright blue pill and now it feels much better (but not great).

In case anyone is curious...it is Dicyclomine (brand name is Bentyl) and it knocks out gut cramps.  But who knows, I might just be experiencing a placebo effect to the fact I took a pill that helps gut cramps.

Not a placebo effect.  I have the same thing as an IBS treatment.

So I am back to perusing craigs list for jobs.  There are some interesting postings...

white water rafting guides...no experience necessary, they do all the training.

Canine handler for a pest company...you get to keep and work with a dog that sniffs out bed bugs!  interesting, no? all standard benefits plus you get a van and cell phone

Companion positions where you get room and board, medical insurance and a stipend to live with someone recovering from a mental illness.  (maybe not the best situation for me seeing as how I have been struggling with mental health issues)

aquarium tech...you set up and maintain marine aquariums in offices and such.  this also includes a van and cell phone.  I, however, only have freshwater fish experience.

I am thinking...cell phone may equal tether and potential after hours work

Yay, I have magic blue pills!  It turns out that I only took half a dose.  I didn't realize that the rx was for 2 pills.
