2069 Here.

What a nice surprise to get bib numbers out 4 weeks in advance.  I wasn't expecting these until 2 weeks prior.

So one month from today we'll be swimming, biking and running our way through the Arizona desert!

I had a really funny/stressful race anxiety nightmare last night (details in my training log), so obviously I'm not as calm and collected about this as I'm telling myself I am.

We're going to party like it's #1999  here.  Oh Yeah, that's right I threw a Prince reference in.  Can't wait for the race.  Finishing last long week of training then recovery and taper.  I'm hitting town on Tuesday of race week.

I've been going crazy with upgrades as well!

I just dropped a ton on a front race wheel, and then saw a set for a tad bit more and got those, so now I have 2 HED Jet 4 Fronts and Operation 'dump a wheel before the wife finds out' is in effect.  I also got a wheel cover and am hoping it works with my SC!

#769 and on an enforced taper tending to a kid's injury out of the area.  Just a BIT stressed out, but starting to let it go.  4 weeks and 1 day.....

And I rode my bike on the trainer for the first time ever today!  Better than nothing, I guess!!

...and the more real it gets the closer we to get taper! I'm excited for taper, but kind of not excited. I like the training. I miss my family. It will be good to be able to see them again!

By the way, when are people planning on getting into town? I'll be there Wednesday night.

Are you talking about this suit?

I love mine and would totally have worn it, but I'll be representing Aquaphor for IMAZ this year.

That is the one!!!  We found it on eBay and it totally reminded us of Tron - and Matt picked one up and will be sporting it at Ironman AZ.

I will be wearing my Tri4Him gear toward the middle of the pack, while Matthew Russell will be up at the front wearing Tri4Him colors.

I reached my peak workout this past weekend with a 6 hr ride/1 hr run on saturday, followed by a 3 hr run on sunday.  I am happy to have the peak behind me!  I plan to do some moderate type workouts this weekend and taper slowly over the next 3 weeks.

As far as arrival, I plan to arrive midday friday.  This doesn't leave much time for "dilly-dally!"

Train Safe!!!

I will be arriving Wed night...want to take it ALL in!!! I was in AZ this weekend and rode a loop of the course. Pretty straight forward. I have 1 more big workout left (6hr ride/1hr run) and a 2 hr run the next day. I feel ready, but I am really trying to respect the distance. Going to be a long day but I'm going to have fun. Enjoy the taper!!

Nice job Cordova.   I had another solid week.   Not quite as big as the week before, but a solid 17 hours:  45 miles running and 175 on the bike and a high intensity 4000 yards in the pool.

This week I hope to get in a final OW practice swim, but I'm not to worried after doing my 2.4 OW race last month after not being in the pool since before CdA.  Run and bike miles should be about the same...stilll not sure how long I'll taper though.
