Hello! Whats your news?
You dont have ANY news since you last dropped in? I did go to Toulouse, France with my 2nd son back in the beginning of August for 10 days! We hosted an exchange student back in the Spring, the kid was such a joy to have, he told his family how much he liked being with us, and they invited us out to their house! It was the most exciting time of our lives! Such a fantastic country and wonderful hosts! So close, but I did get to the Pic du Midi and took a photo of the ride peak there. I beleive that is in my FB photo album. Friend me if you're on there. |

There are times we aren't clear understanding each other but she'll ask if she doesn't understand me and I'll ask her for clarification if she is using the wrong word. She corrects my pronunciation of the recipes. Pho is not a long O sound like phone.....is's soft O. I found a recipe for a beef stew that is spelled KHO and i't pronounced like the PHO too.QueenZipp - 2012-09-19 8:17 PM 1stTimeTri - 2012-09-19 9:07 PM That sounds awesome, Phil!D001 - 2012-09-17 11:10 PM kaqphin - 2012-09-17 12:21 AM If he doesn't, he should just make something up. 1stTimeTri - 2012-09-16 10:01 PM kaqphin - 2012-09-15 12:52 AM ??????? Hello! Whats your news?

We hosted an exchange student back in the Spring, the kid was such a joy to have, he told his family how much he liked being with us, and they invited us out to their house! It was the most exciting time of our lives! Such a fantastic country and wonderful hosts! We are hosting a student from Vietnam for the school year. She's been with us a few weeks. It took a bit for her to adjust initially, I have found that trying to cook Vietnamese food once a week or so has been a real asset to building bridges in relationship. She has worked with me in the kitchen and is always funny to watch. She will get in the Asian market and find all these unusual spices that we need and I am looking at things wondering what the heck they are! Loving that I can find decent recipes on line and ask her about them before we start in on it. We made Pho last weekend. A lot of work but it was really good. WOW! That's cool, QZ! How was the language barrier? I bet you and the student bonded really, really well! |

Was thinking last night about resurrecting hte halloween run challenge... no matter what it will NOT be as crazy as that first year with over 130 people lol So? Did you give it more thought? If you don't do a run challenge, maybe I'll set up a 'general' challenge, something that will provide me with plenty of opportunities to taser people.... |

Drinking does that. Really??? I just had a glass of water. Oh wait, maybe you aren't talking about *water.* Then again, she was wearing her "low for me" heels. That would probably be enough to do it, even with just water. Hm, I wonder if she ever found those fishnets.... |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Nibbs XLV - Baby Nibblets I had wrist surgery today. Got rid of some scar tissue and removed a small nerve. I had a nerve block, which is a crazy bizarre experience. Hand is awake now, and I'm not in too much pain. Oh, and I'm starting to plan E's 1st birthday. Can you believe she's 10 months old already? |

Um. Did we know about your wrist issues? I'm in a rhinovirus-induced haze right now. About all I can do is cough and sniffle. So you got to watch the surgery? That's kind of cool. Maybe. LOL What are you planning for E's bday bash? |

Oh, and I'm starting to plan E's 1st birthday. Can you believe she's 10 months old already? Maybe? I've been having wrist issues on and off for years, but they got really bad when I was pregnant. I did not get to watch. It was "twilight" anesthesia and I really don't remember anything between getting on the operating room table and waking up as they were wrapping my hand. I am planning on a yellow and grey elephant theme for E's birthday. Today I am making a balloon wreath at my craft group like this: |
