I was just looking over my training plan (non triathlon for clarification) and I have a LOT of rowing on the machine this week.  Must make a new playlist to the appropriate cadence and such.

This is somewhat productive.  No?

Chapter Two:  Update iPod!

What stroke rate are you aiming for?

Trying to keep it at 21.

So no speed metal then, huh?  I usually have to do something rather mellow if I am going to keep the rate low like that, which I may actually have to do tonight.  It will depend on how many we have for practice tonight.

Yes.  No speedy metal.  Tonight is the night I have to do 4000m AFTER my kettlebell workout.  Thank goodness the KB workout only involves 42 squats in addition to 213 reps of other crap, still standing, but working the upper body.  Wait .. that still sounds horrific.

Anhoo ... any suggestions for music that would fit the bill.  I like it thrashy and loud.

How about pron star dancing and sick and twisted affair by my darkest days. it's loud and trashy but is relatively mellow Volbeat the mirror and the ripper, it has a good beat and the vocals "swing" is a good way to describe it.  That should get you about halfway through.

eta:

Oh wait you said thrashy.....Embarassed my bad...

I am torn though I don't know if I would rather row in the water or on the erg tonight.

The erg would be shorter and "easier" but less fun.

This sort of thing is why I had to stop working for large companies.  Microsoft actually has their *own freaking employee conference* a couple times a year at the Seattle Convention Center called TechReady.  None of them look like they want to be here.

This was a thank you event our customer "threw" for us - yeah in the middle o' June when it's going to be 98 degrees today. At least it was in the morning. And the media behaved.

We rented a gas-powered t-shirt gun. That was cool.
