Scout7 - 2007-04-23 9:20 AM What breakdown? What'd I miss?

It's in my blog.  It was at the end of the day so I didn't get to talk about in the TAN.

E,  I read your Friday blog, glad to hear you are doing better today.

I have to admit that when I read this "Teresa!! Thanks for letting me vent and then making me laugh. You're the best BT Girlfriend ever. (Wanna make out?)", I kind of forgot what you said in the rest of your blog.  Wink   {Scout break time}

Reading that raised more questions than it answered, but I'm nosy like that.

So, E, I didn't know you were helping coach running.  Pretty cool.  How's that work out for you?

I had a conversation with one of my training friends and they said some things that really hurt my feelings...in regard to my training and where I'm at after having trained all winter.

I shared this with Fish last night: I don't think people around me realize how thin I'm spread. People only see one aspect of my life and, like this person, make a judgement based on the only piece of me they see. So I look like a mediocre mom, a mediocre triathlete, a mediocre housekeeper, etc., etc.

As for the coaching?  I love it!!  I paced a group of run/walkers on Saturday and there was one gal in my group that was worried about going out with us because she was an 18 minute mile walker.  I took them out at about a 15 min/mile pace and then we picked it up that last half of the route (we did 6 miles) and ended up having an average pace of 14 and some change.  I loved seeing her face light up when I told her our pace at the end.  When she realized that she CAN go faster...it was awesome.  She just needed someone to "hold her hand" and give her the confidence to get outside of her comfort zone.

I'm not fast but when I can help make a difference for gals like her, it's makes what I do worthwhile.

That's pretty cool.

Yeah, I generally keep a fair amount of my non-athletic life out of my athletics.  There are rare moments where I actually discuss something personal.

I'm very very good at compartmentalizing my life.

Working, actually working! I can't even believe it.

I also have to tear off my old countertops and disconnect the plumbing sometime today/early tomorrow so that the new granite has a happy place to rest.

recovering from my meltdown/panic attack race attempt yesterday. Absolutely horrible. Just to much happening right now.

Last Monday, getting hit by car.
Selling condo, in escrow.
Trying to pack up everything, by myself.
Started training for IM Lou.
Reserve rental truck.
Schedule an appt. w/the attorney & detective on the case.
Flying to Vegas on Wednesday, job interview there on Thursday, working for my buddy's bike shop tri expo on Friday & Saturday.
Fly back to Austin on Monday, finish packing.
Start move back to Vegas on Friday or Saturday........

plus train everyday I can, and maybe breath. I think I need to start an IV of Zanax.......

Let me guess, it has something to do with a Confederate victory in an obscure battle during the Civil War.

On my travels down to FL, along I-95, there is a billboard that says "Victory is great, but Honor is Greater" sponsored by the Sons of the Confederacy.

Gotta love ya some Georgia.

It is sad....really is.  And it isn't unique to GA.  I know AL celebrates it too.  I wouldn't be surprise if SC & MS joined the crowd.

It was sunny and 80 here today so I didn't complain one bit.  Plus I have been out of town for the last 10 days.  I needed a day to get things done!

If its a holiday in MS I've never heard of it.

But being OUT of Mississippi is a holiday within itself!

Who knew?  Funny that states observe it differently
