Subject: RE: The Things That Go Bump In The Night Team Thread morgenrr - 2007-10-12 1:05 PM TriAya - 2007-10-12 2:52 PM I'll leave sexy or not to you ladies, but I will relate this story from my first tri. I have a good friend who came out to cheer me on during my first tri last month. She is normally a chatterbox, but to hear my wife tell the story, she was standing near the finish line LOOONG before I came in with her mouth hanging open and a stunned speachless look on her face. Apparently the spectacle of the several hundred more or less (usually more) fit guys in various layers of skin tight clothing was enough to keep her quiet for the first time in recent memory. Oh, I don't know about his face, but that dude's shoulders are SEXY....mmmm...swimmers... Yes ... mmm ... the REAL reason Yanti tri's ... ha ha.
Ah, but was it enough to get her out on the race course herself? |

This could explain why I'm chronically single ... "why hello Mike!" ... "I'm Ian." The problem, girlfriend, is you're not watching *when* you should ... what are YOU doing at the Ocean Speed Circuit when the boys are dropping trou in the parking lot? Swimming??? |

The problem, girlfriend, is you're not watching *when* you should ... what are YOU doing at the Ocean Speed Circuit when the boys are dropping trou in the parking lot? Swimming??? Man ... I am so clueless. That's why I need Dolores around. One time at the speed circuit, this cute blond guy had an even cuter dog, so I was staring at the dog, and finally strike up a conversation with the guy: "Oh hey, is that an Australian cattle dog," "Why yes it is" ... we just exchanged pleasantries and moved on. Dolores had made a super fast beeline for me and started elbowing me in the ribs--"DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT WAS????" .... um, no? "Owen Wilson." D-OH!!!! |

no no, i think all the "studs" on the team know when to let the "studettes" on our team drool in peace.... it's just too bad for you "studettes" that not all guys are as cool, hot or athletic as the guys on our team....... you would have way better pickings.... Subject: RE: The Things That Go Bump In The Night Team Thread TriAya - 2007-10-12 1:18 PM No, not Mike -- that's Coach Ian! Oh, wow. Double busted. Okay, look, men, I really do appreciate you as individuals and look at your faces. Sometimes. This could explain why I'm chronically single ... "why hello Mike!" ... "I'm Ian." Apologies -- I threw you off b/c Monica does indeed train with Coach Mike. I run track with Mike sometimes and swim with K sometimes, but I officially "belong" to Coach Ian, who may actually be nicer than he is good-looking, and he may actually be a better coach than he is nice ... all of which adds up to a really really great experience. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: The Things That Go Bump In The Night Team Thread I agree with Sharkbait...I work today, pick up the spare contact lenses (been using the same "disposable"lens since the end of JUly!) and my race packet. I only had a couple dozen non BUMP notices in the box of 142 e mail notices from BT. Hey I was in charge today and we only had one code (my usual charge days are counted as the first code was...second code was...and then we had...I have a black cloud in charge role) Must have given about 20 flu shots. Got to give one to one of the docs who has some AMAZING biceps (actually he is very well built, goes to the gym regularly) and one of the scribes was jealous I got to do it (she was blushing something fierce when she said that too) |

Ah, but was it enough to get her out on the race course herself? Not yet, but I am working on it. Her ears perked up like a german sheppard when I mentioned Jayne's Slow Fat Triathlete. I still need to get her my copy since I am done with it now. And I do have to admit that the sunglasses I wear when working out, are not just to shade my eyes from the sun. When you ladies get going, it can be a little distracting. But with my wife training in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu and working toward her first amateur MMA fight, I have to behave myself more than most. |

(Both Bunny and I believe Mrs. USMC were on the Jayne Rocks thread with her). Might want to mention that to your friend ... BT's a pretty inspirational world. Wow, your wife is gonna be in an MMA fight? Like in a tournament? That is so awesome and wish her the best of luck from one of your wacky online friends. It takes some iron guts. I fought in sport karate during college and managed to make a little spending money. |

Just a single fight, get in there and knock/choke them out or make 'em tap. In front of a paying audience of maybe 500 people, on the same fight card as a lot of the local guys. It makes for interesting discussions around our house every now and then. She's 5'3" 125 lbs. now and then she'll take it upon herself to TRY cut me down to size. Technique vs. brawn and stubborness (I ain't getting beat by a girl). Right now my win loss record is about .500. But sometimes it's more fun to lose... |

You've sure outposted the Apples. We've been pretty quiet today. (Although that will change in a minute, 'cause I'm online now. LOL) Ciao, Dee |

Dee is an honorary Bumper ). And shhhh re. the TAN team ... we're planning a double coup. Thanks for the honorary title! How cool is that? A double coup? Hm... posting and _____? I'll have to think about that one. Um... Wait, this is a challenge. Is that it? (My brain cells are frying with the effort of thinking about this....) Hm. I need to review last week's update on how everyone is doing. I just figured that TAN would blow everyone away. But now that I think about it, I don't recall them being at the top of the Challenge results update. (Actually, I think they were late getting their totals in. I'll have to see if it's been updated.) Hm. A double coup, eh? Would be impressive! Good enough to post as a headline, even: "NEWBIES BLOW TAN OUT OF THE WATER - TWICE!" Good luck with that! Dee |
