I just got off of the phone with kaqphin, and she said that the TAN team gets today off from running. It's a special deal we worked out.

So go out, relax, and ENJOY your day off. NO RUNNING.

Congrats guys, you've earned it!!!

Got in 3.06 yesterday and that puts me at 7.34 for the week (20.9% to goal).  Does the week end on Saturday or Sunday?  I might run tomorrow.  Haven't decided yet.

haha it looks like Ive been talking to people in my sleep???

Just wanted to let the team know there have been a bit of confusion about anyone that joined the challenge late (I think you had one late addition!). Mileage for any late entrants will be counted from the beginning of October so goals should be set taking this into account!

Thanks

Don't you have something better to do than TAN on a Sunday morning (ok... well Saturday evening here)?  Oh that reminds me... I need dinner!

I will make a point to think of this image (Briefly) on the last mile of my run today. But only for a moment since it is such a beautiful day here in Southern California and is just perfect for a nice run on the beach. (Naked of Course)

Had a very nice (Although Warm) run down at the beach. Did a 12 mile run @ GA Pace with the last 2 @ HMP.

Was a Kenyan Outback run with a 2:44 Negative Split and that makes me very happy

Totals for the week:

Monthly Goal: 200 Miles
Actual Miles: 46 Miles - 23% of Goal

Next week, the plan calls for 33 Miles Training and 27 Miles on Race Day. (26.2 Race + .8 Warmup/Cooldown) Total Planned miles for next week, 60 Miles.

Train Well Pfreaks

Oh, it's not bad.

Seems like things polarized into two groups. One moved to RT and the other moved to RunAnGo.com. (A site started by NoSkills and Mookie from the L&O Forum)

Seems like the chatty social bunch ended up on RunAnGo and the more serious runners ended up for the most part on RunningTimes. Sort of spooky because some of the newer peeps on RWOL (and RunAnGo) have taken to calling RT a freakshow.

They reference posts from folks where someone will be griping about a light week. (Light being ~70 Miles) Or someone will be complaining that their training paces are a bit slow. (And they are running 7 minute miles on an easy day)

With so many folks on RT posting 100+ mile weeks, it sort of feeds into the Freakshow Myth

It's really scary when the folks at RunAnGo call other people freaks.....  I was on that site for a brief period.  It was..........entertaining.

I haven't been on RT much, or RWOL a whole lot, either.  I mostly just lurk on those sites.  If I'm really bored, I'll read some of the threads on letsrun.com.

Scout a slacker... yeah right.  You are allowed to not run one day a week.
